Last year the lovely people at Kathleen sent me Caviar Enrich Eye Cream to review which I loved.
Following on from that, earlier this year they sent me their Facial Sonic Cleansing Device to try out and I completely admit I have been awful at getting reviews up.
Normally the summer months are a time where I feel a little better. However, this year they have been quite a trial.
So I have been the worlds worst blogger and for that, I am very sorry.
Facial Sonic Cleansing Device
Anyone who has been around the blog for a while knows my skin has always been an issue for me.
Even now in my 30s I still suffer from outbreaks and I am all for trying new items which might help me get on top of my oily, spot prone skin.
If you haven't come across a cleansing device quite like this before let me tell you a little about them:
Coming from Kathleen a company who specialises in natural beauty, it offers; deep cleansing, a nice massage, soft silicon design and it is completely rechargeable.
An LED light will help let you know when it is time to recharge. (It is worth noting you should charge for 10 hours before first use).
There is a start button to the front of the device, with a speed up or down located to either side of it. This allows you to set the facial sonic device to your own needs. I would suggest setting it low to begin with and working up the speed settings.
While it is made to be used with a cleanser, you need to make sure you stay away from anything clay based, silicon-based or grainy and don't use it with scrubs or exfoliators. As these can damage the device.
Directions for use suggest wetting both the device and your skin and applying a small amount of cleanser in key areas. Then starting with your chin and cheek area, moving to your nose and then to the forehead. Spending around 15 seconds on each area and no more than 1 minute in total.
What did I think of the Facial Sonic Cleansing Device?
Honestly, at first I was very sceptical, I mean what is it going to offer that is different from just cleansing by hand?
However, my mind was quickly changed. As I quickly noticed a difference not only in the feeling of my skin but how it looked as well.
I don't know how it does it, but my skin doesn't half feel very soft after use. It also seems to have helped calm any outbreaks I have been having.
Actually, I assume both the above outcomes have something to do with the massage feature and for me, I think this offers a much better clean.
Getting down into the pores as well as stimulating skin renewal and getting rid of dead cells.
I should probably admit that I am awful at using the correct cleansing zones.
I really just stuck to using the general cleansing zone all over as with my shakes and issues holding things I found it easier to just get on and get it done.
One thing I would personally recommend is removing your make up beforehand and then using this to cleanse after.
It is also worth noting that the LED indicator may induce light sensitivity. So if you suffer from this, please approach your first uses with caution.
How can you Buy the Kathleen Facial Sonic Cleansing Device?
If I have you wondering how to get your hands on this device for yourself never fear as it's simple!
The Kathleen Facial Sonic Device comes in at £49, which when compared to similar brands is an amazing price and can be bought from the Kathleen website, or excitingly they are now stocked over with Love Lula.
If you are looking for a new way to care for your skin I most definitely recommend giving this device a try.
