  4. My husband & I have made a list of projects to do, some small and some quite large, which should keep us busy. We’ve started on those which don’t require us to buy any new tools or materials. I’m also on a mission to finally rid my front garden of perennial weeds, so it’s been great that the weather has been fine and I’ve been able to spend lots of time outdoors.

  5. I am also a big believer in bringing the outdoors into the home. I have adored plants since my late teens – and always preferred them to flowers. Apart from anything else, there’s no pollen, smells or other things that may set off allergies in the way some flowers do. They also last considerably longer. So, plants officially rock!!

  6. Some excellent suggestions but my wife has already given me a “to do” list of all the things I was supposed to get done years ago.

  7. Yes, I have loads of prints, paintings, posters and photos that I have been meaning to put on the walls for ages. I have no idea why I haven’t done it but thank you for the nudge!

  9. Our 2nd son who lives at home was going to do all the downstairs flooring whilst we were away in June.

I can’t see that happening now. He was going to rip up the kitchen, dining area, lounge and hall. Probably have to go to next year.

If we don’t go he will do a load of snagging jobs round the house. He is a carpenter by trade hence.

  10. Great tips, thanks for sharing! We have some paint in still that we brought a while ago but never got a chance to do so we are going to tackle that over the next few weeks. I am also hoping to find time to put some of the photos I have taken and accumulated into frames to display too!

    1. There is something awesome about being able to make little changes around the home isn’t it?

  28. I won’t lie I am finding this new way of working/schooling pretty tough.

I think part of that is because I am never just allowed to be at home, so I am sitting here juggling work and home schooling but thinking about all the jobs I want to get done around the house, but never have time normally to do it.
