Home Ideas for Autumn
Autumn is well and truly here and with having just moved, I am still on the look out for things to complete the home, as well as giving it that warm and welcoming feel you need as the colder days and nights draw in.
I have been nosing around a few of my favourite websites and found the following things I might just add to my home soon.
Personalised Home Sweet Home Print: Blue Design – £39.99
This print comes in a whole host of different colours, but I am always drawn to blue. So for me, blue it would have to be.
I love the fact you can personalise this with your name and location and as the new bungalow actually feels like home, for the first time in a long time, I am really temped to treat myself to this beautiful sign from Forever Bespoke.
A New Sofa
So this is something I have just done, due to our old sofa being past it, as well as it not fitting into our new home. However, I wanted to include it as it has made such a difference. Our old corner sofa was a bit past it.
However this new one is comfy, cosy and makes me feel ready to snuggle down on, come the colder months.
Cedarwood Oak Candle – £8.99
When it comes to autumn and winter there is nothing better than lighting a candle when the night gets dark and this beauty sounds absolutely wonderful, I can just imagine it’s wonderful scent drifting through, as its glow warms the room.
Copper String Lights – £7.95
If there is one thing that goes with candles for the cooler months (as well as blankets), it has to be fairy lights and one of the great things about these copper string lights in particular, is that you can put them up anywhere, due to how they are made.
So there are a couple of things I am thinking about adding to my home for autumn, but how about you, is there any autumn musts you have to have?

A comfy new sofa makes a world of a difference. These are really nice ideas.

Autumn is all about warm snuggly comfort. I always end up buying some form of lighting. Anything from shades, fairy lights or candles. It’s one of the reasons I love the shorter days
I never though of using string lights for autumn but I love the idea!! I can’t wait to incorporate some into my fall decor. 🙂
They are lovely just add a little touch of light to a certain area. x
My mummy has lit a candle tonight. It’s so comforting watching flames flicker…no we’re not pyromaniacs 😉
Those lights are so pretty and really do help brighten up the colder darker months.

Those copper lights are very cool, I am liking the look of those. We tend to bring out the fleece blankets and light candles too.

I love to window shop and i always have a pad and pen beside my computer so I can jot things down that I like, it is full I can tell you!
Mood boards are also a good way to go, if you are redecorating 🙂

To be honest fairylights are such a great addition to a house to make it feel a bit more homely 🙂

I love fairy lights. The warm glow really makes for a nice atmosphere.
It really does, does’t it just a nice accent in a room and sometimes you can use it to point out a focal point as well. x

Autumn is the season when we all come back from holiday trips back to our homes and anything cozy makes my heart warm :))

I love the way the whole ambience of a room can be changed with the use of candles. As the nights are drawing in a few candles with spicy, warm aromas make a home seem lovely and cosy.
I love copper string lights! I have been wanting to get some for a while, I just do not know where I want to put them yet!

The one thing I love about autumn is making the home nice and snuggly! Those copper lights would be perfect in my house, my only concern is my cats having a go!

love the lights on the wooden ladder! i have a ladder like that on my porch and it would look great if i brought it inside for a festive touch.

My seasonal autumn decorations are some of my very favorites. I really like that copper lighting you show above, that would look great on my mantle.

A new sofa would definitely help brighten up the house for autumn. It would really give it a much fresher look.
I love changing my decor up for Autumn, I’m missing out this year as we are re-decorating our living room and having repairs done so I won’t be able to get anything done seasonally until December. But I will be getting those dainty string lights to go around a huge plant we have in our living room and of course around my bed because I am such a cliche! HAHA

Love the couch! I am in the process of looking for a new one myself. The one I have is about 10 years old and getting so out of shape. But, I have a cat who sheds SO MUCH! I’m debating on just waiting. But, love the items here!

I love making the house all cosy for autumn. I’m buying some more candles at the weekend and looking forward to lighting the fire.
We have just put up lots of fairy lights and bought some more candles. It’s feeling very autumnal.
I’m a big fan of getting the fairy lights out at this time of year too. I just thing they give a nice cosy look in the home and definately brightens things up a lot. Over the years I’ve amassed so many throws, cushions and nik-naks (not the crisps ;)) that I try not to buy so much new stuff. I always remind myself how much a pain it is to box it all up whenever I move too. x
