Hagley West Reina Chronograph Watch Review

There is something about a watch, even now in the digital age when people always have a phone close at hand for the time. However, there is always room for a watch as well, especially as they can show off something about you.
Take for instance the Reina watch from Hagley West, which comes in a stunning choice of colour options.
Hagley West
Hagley West was born in a small village in Northamptonshire, with the name a nod back to the time the founder spent as a captain of West Hagley CC.
They started with a mission to take on the overpriced and out-of-date fashion industry.
Today they are located in founder Tim Hayden’s home town in Hertfordshire, with their HQ being in his own kitchen.
They keep their community up to date with all the goings on at Hagley West via their social media and love when people get involved as “No two journeys are the same, whether they be emotional, physical, mental or spiritual: but every journey is marked by time.
Offering a range of watches for men and women and coming in a choice of styles, I was asked if I would like to have a look at one of their watches and decided to go for the Reina.
Reina – Biniparrel – Blue
The Reina (Spanish for Queen) is a range named after the birthplace of Hagley West because it was in the Reina Isabel restaurant in S’Algar, Menorca the first discussions about the brand took place. While each of the watches within the range has a name which is also linked to Menorca.
Offering a bold design I knew straight away that I wanted to have a look at The Reina, however, it was hard to choose which one. After all, each of the watches within the range offers an eye-catching colour choice.
In the end, my love of blue won and I went for this beautiful blue strap and face colourway.
This watch offers a stainless steel case, with a blue dial face and silver sub-dials and hands, with an overall size of 38mm, while the strap is blue leather. The sub-dials contain a 24-hour clock, 60-minute timer and 60-second time.
The watch is also 5ATM Waterproof (which is around 50 metres).
My Thoughts on The Reina
I absolutely love the colour and vibrancy of this watch, there is something about the brilliant blue that makes me think of the sea and sun. The fact this is a working chronograph watch as well is superb, I’ve come across watches in a similar price bracket who just add them on for looks alone, without them really working.
The watch itself is a nice size and comfortable to wear, with the dials being simple to set and use and necessary.
If you are looking for a statement watch you wear every day, then I certainly suggest checking out Hagley West.

Beautiful watch, love the colours and how well it looks but a bit on the expensive side for me.
I can understand that, we all have budgets when it comes to buying different pieces.
I love a good watch and this is a great design. I do like a leather strap on a watch . I’ve not heard of this brand before

Although you’ve given the measurement of the diameter, it would have been good to see a picture of the watch on a wrist, too.
Sadly my mobility makes it hard for me to take pictures like that now as I don’t have the strength in one arm to lift it up and take them like I used to on my wrist.

I really love the colour. It is a very bold design but it’s unique and I like that.
It is such a bold colour, isn’t it? Really is something that can stand out.
I love that blue, it is one of my favourites. However, I really prefer very small watches so I think I would find this one too chunky.
The blue is just stunning, due to it being a chronograph watch it has to have a larger face so you can see the smaller ones within it. If they were much smaller they wouldn’t be useful.
It’s a lovely watch with a great back story. However I have a nickel allergy and can only wear plastic so I don’t bother at all

I love the vibrancy!! In fact, a lot of their watches offer that bright and bold watch face which really gives a positive attachment to time. I think I like their Reina style the best too
