Get more life with Laminate Flooring*
You can get more lifespan from laminate than carpet because you will be installing a more durable, easier to maintain and longer lasting laminated flooring that is also easier to replace a panel or two if accidents occur. Even better you have a more diverse option to choose that will suit your existing interior decoration and it’s easier to re-decorate on when you feel like a change.
Carpet is out and laminate is back in the house …

Laminate is back in trend and this time it’s for real. The use of recycled wood to create a MDF or HDF base helps to reduce the amount of trees we cut down but this doesn’t change the way it looks on the surface. The top layer is undetectably a laminated high res photographic film that looks real to anyone looking down at it. Recent innovation in this product design and manufacturing has introduced grooves and knots to be embedded in line with the actual photograph that makes the whole look seem more natural than ever.
When it comes to carpet or textiles you may want to stroke and feel how it touches the skin. But when you are shopping for laminate flooring you would come to realise that they all pretty much feel the same under the foot so all you need to decide on is the shade of colour and type of wood effect you want which you can easily find by browsing online. And that’s where the best deals are! So order at your comfort and if you can’t decide then you can always order a few samples and see it for real before you invest in purchasing on a floor that may last you half your lifetime.
TIP: If you need to know where you can order free unlimited laminate flooring samples … go to Floors Direct.

In a nutshell if you compare it pound for pound, laminate gives you more for your money over carpet.

Installing Laminate yourself
When it comes to laying the floor It’s not as difficult as it may seem if you have intermediate DIY skills, the right tools and a good laminate flooring installation guide.
If you are not confident then always seek further advice from your product supplier or assign the task to a professional layer.
TIP: Make sure you buy an extra pack in case a few planks arrive damaged (which is common) and you can always return it later and ensure you can complete the job without delays or keep it as replacements which can come handy in the future.

These are great tips for laminated flooring. I love the pup on the floor which makes for a great photo of both the pup and the floor. Laminated flooring is indeed easier to maintain as well as being cheaper than hardwood flooring.
