Cucumber Melon DIY Face Scrub
Have you ever thought about making your own beauty products? Be it for yourself or someone you know? Well, perhaps I have the perfect starting point for you – a DIY face scrub.
This great cucumber melon homemade facial scrub allows you to make your own scrub from ingredients you may well have around the home already.
There are lots of different ways to make a DIY facial scrub, including using coffee grounds and brown sugar. But this one is just perfect for beginners, such as myself, to start with.
Sugar face scrubs are perhaps the perfect skin-pampering product. As this Cucumber Melon homemade Sugar Scrub is a great way to help get rid of dead skin cells, alongside polishing and brightening.
Making the skin both look and feel fantastic. After all, isn’t that what we all want for our skin?
Of course, we all need to make sure we use a good exfoliate and moisturise across the year, to help keep our skin in good condition!
This scrub can be used two or three times a week, by rubbing in circular motions on your skin.
It is suitable for all skin types including dry skin and oily skin and you can also use it all over as a body scrub. Just remember to be careful if you have sensitive skin – always patch test, no matter what.
As well as being a must-have product for your own bathroom – it is also a great idea for a gift.
No matter if you are looking for the perfect birthday present, stocking filler or something to pop in a basket, Whatever the occasion is coming up, and much more thoughtful than a store-bought product.
So how do you make it?
Here’s my sugar scrub recipe.
Materials for your DIY face scrub:
- 2 cups Epsom Salts (or two cups of sugar)
- 1⁄2 cup cucumber melon scented body wash
- Wide mouth funnel
- Jars with lids
- Avery 5294 labels or similar
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the sugar and body wash, until well combined.
- Use the funnel to transfer the mixture to jars.
- This makes (2) 8oz jars. I personally recommend using plastic jars as this is used in the shower but you could use glass jars or mason jars if you’re making it for a present as they look a bit more up-market.
- Screw lids on tightly.
Finishing Touches:
Download and print the labels.
Cucumber Melon Sugar Scrub
These are formatted for Avery 5294 or similar.
Affix labels to the top of the jars.
To Use:
Massage sugar scrub into the skin to exfoliate. While enjoying and relaxing, before rinsing clean.

Yes, tried some and they were pretty effective. Now, i dont do anymore as i find it more convenient buying than making my own. This week as we donour grocery, might as well buy a few mayonaise for my hair.

I’m sure this scrub has a very lovely and refreshing scent! It’s definitely something that I would make for myself. I love making my own scrubs because it gives you the freedom to choose the ingredients that you want to include in it!

Alternate beauty products made from natural ingredients is always good and healthy, no chemicals, so no side effects. Cucuumber and melon are naturals with so much water content that they will go well as a scrub alongwith sugar.
