Bathroom Adaptions to Dream of
Once upon a time I tried not to talk about my health issues on the blog, it was happy place away from them. However, I came to the realisation as long as I didn’t talk about it in a negative manner that actually speaking openly about the issues I face can be empowering for me and helpful to others. One place I struggle with is the bathroom, while I had some adaptions made last year, I really need more to make it into a place I can relax and wash with ease.
However, if money were no object there are so many things I could and would do to make the bathroom a place of relaxing enjoyment once again.
Bathroom Adaptions to Dream of
One thing I have given up on ever having in my life again is a bath. However, I didn’t realise it was possible to buy a walk-in bath. What surprised me more was walk-in baths come in a number of different forms, both this larger upright design and a more traditional full-length bath, which can work well for people who cannot lift their legs so high.
For me, I think this high design, which also includes a shower to the side to help with hair washing, looks like the perfect mix of shower enclosure and bath. What’s more, it comes with a hydrotherapy option, which is something I think could really help my pain levels, as there is something rather pain relieving about the bubbling of water around you, at least while you are sitting in it.
I guess the only thing to do now is save.
If like me you do have issues with the bathroom, be it anything from the ability to wash to the pain you feel when you go to the toilet, I must remind you, you are not alone. While the idea of such things can feel embarrassing and aren’t something you may want to speak to anyone about, talking about it can be the first step to making your life a lot easier and of course if you want to just rant my inbox is always open.

A walk in bath is something completely new to me but an awesome idea. It would be me favorite place to spend some ‘Me’ time after all the household chores.
It is such a neat idea isn’t it I love that it brings baths to those who aren’t so able.
I would love a walk-in bath, they look so handy especially with the shower on the side. I also love that they are compact and wouldn’t take much space!
That is true, they are perfect for smaller bathrooms as well!
I love a good and comfy bathroom where I can bathe and do my business without feeling uncomfortable or uneasy. I think it’s good to be able to do upgrades!
The bathroom has to be right I think, after all it’s a relax area in some ways.
It’s nice to make sure that your bathroom is a place where you feel comfortable. It would be nice to do an upgrade or at least update the bathroom after a couple of years!
Most definitely I think it is such an important area of the home.
I actually love the idea of the walk in bath tub. I have seen these at spas and thought how nice they would be for the home!
It is such an awesome idea isn’ t it – I think it will help a lot of people in the long run.
There are so many cool products out there – things have come a long way even in the 10 or so years I have been in my home. It would be fun to renovate with some of these.
It is great to see how things are changing and progressing as the years go on, opening all new ideas for us.

You can answer me privately but why can’t you take a bath? I have creaky bones but I still take a bath once a week,this where I do my book reading. Walk in baths are a good idea for anyone with bad backs or hips.
It’s a mix of things, my fibro for the pain, my HMS for my joints going out of place and I just don’t have the strength to pull myself up and out anymore. I hate it lol.
I think walk in baths are so cool. I have some knee problems and I hate having to get out of a normal bath.
It can be so hard can’t it 🙁 I hate it.

It is fab isn’t it – it’s one of life’s little luxuries.
This walk in bath would be great for people with mobility/flexibility issues and for older people too. I would seriously consider having one when me and my husband start finding difficulties getting into the tub. I know this is expensive so I guess we have to start saving for it now.
It is a shame it is so expensive, I’m definitely going to have to start saving myself.
My mother in law has a clawfoot tub and I’ve been crushing on it for years. She’s talked about updating her bathroom and I’m hoping she does so I can get that tub.
Oh those tubs are beautiful! I used to lust after those before as well.
This is definitely something that my parents have been considering because they’re getting older and it is hard to get into the tub. They have not actually pulled the trigger yet but I think they will soon.
I hope it really helps them in the long term if they do go for it!

It feels so much better to talk about issues that you’re dealing with in life. I think it’s a form of release. I’d love to make my bathroom even more comfy! I think it’s important to do so.

I have never seen one of these walk in baths in real life! I wondered how they worked.. I’m sure this will be a great update to your bathroom one day.

My dad ripped out the fiberglass tub years ago, and opted for a walk in shower. It’s made things so much easier for my mother at the time. Even though she is now gone, he is glad he did it, because with his aging, it has made things easier on him.
Having something you can access easily really can make such a difference to people.
I really wish I could update my bathroom soon! That tub looks super convenient! My bathroom needs a nice updating.

A walk in bath would be interesting! I do want to upgrade my bathroom. Better sinks and fixtures. And flooring. It looks dated. At some point we want to do it!

Still have my doubts about walk in tubs. Know they are growing in popularity. Do you have to sit in the water waiting for it to drain before you can get out?
I would assume you would have to and sit in while it was filling as well or the water would come out the door area.
My Mom looked into walk-in baths a couple of years ago and learned they were very expensive. She’s got bad knees and can’t get into their current tub easily.
I think that’s why so many people just have a seat that rises and lowers into there own bath or like us has a shower put in I hope they come down in price at some point.
A walk in bath would be awesome. My parents looked into putting one in for my mom, but they are wicked expensive so they decided against it.

The walk in sit down in the photo looks like it would be incredible!!!! Can you imagine a nice hot bubblet bath. Wow. And if i win the lotto then i will get one for you and one for me.
