I think it’s really positive that you can talk about your health and problems, and hopefully help others to speak about theirs, I’ve never seen these walk in baths, they sound amazing with the hydrotherapy, it’s just a shame they cost so much, I think that they should be available without the hefty price tag xxx

  2. The heat is a major problem for my body, so what I dream of is a wet room. I could almost lie down to wash, without the immersive situation of a bath. I don’t think I’d have the space for a conversion any time soon, though, let alone the cash.

    I wish everyone with health problems could have all the accommodations they need to take as much of the extra difficulty as possible out of their lives.

  3. I guess many people will love the idea but will think twice when the cost is being considered. I hope we could find a lot cheaper but with the same quality in the future.

    1. It is fab isn’t it – so nice they do, do different designs you don’t just have to have the one and lump it.

  8. I had failed back surgery so getting in and out of the tub is so painful. I’d love a walk in bath, I think it would solve that problem.

    1. It would be so good for so many different issues wouldn’t it and means you can have that nice relax we all deserve!

  9. We’ve been trying to make small changes to my fella’s dad’ bathroom as he struggles to get in and out of the bath bless him. He currently has a bath lift chair but a walk in bath would be a dream. I think I’d also highly appreciate a hydrotherapy setting! Once you’ve saved up for your dream bathroom I’ll have to send you some bathbombs to celebrate :).

    1. It really is a dream isn’t it – ohh now that would be amazing, I totally miss using bathbombs, in fact i often use them in the shower or just in a tub with my feet haha!

  10. Walk in baths are in trend now. It is actually very cool. One problem which I have is that I don’t share my bathroom with anyone. I just can’t! Lol

  11. This is a great idea for those who have a few health issues. I couldn’t imagine not being able to have a bath again, mainly because it’s one of my main techniques for relieving pain! It’s great that these exist, I hope you get your hands on one.

    1. It is amazing isn’t it a nice bath, something I have really missed. One day I will have them again!

  12. The walk in bath is amazing and such a great idea for those in need. I come from a care manager background so alternatives for those who require them where always forefront in my mind.

  13. That walk in bathtub seems really practical and something anyone would need especially for someone older or with a disability. We would definitely change our bathroom to something similar when we are older.

  14. I have been thinking of getting a walk in bath for my mother. She loves bath but she always has trouble getting up and I’m not always there to help. She would love it. Thanks for sharing.

  18. Since I have a shower cubicle in my apartment I think I need a huge tub so I can soak in, that’s the only adaptation I want but love your walk in idea

  19. As our population gets older, this would be so helpful. It’s hard to older people to step over a bathtub to get in.

  20. I never realised walk in baths were a thing! I hope they come down in price so more people can get them who don’t have the motor ability for a “regular” bath

  21. No, I don’t have an adaptation in my bathroom and I don’t think this is my cup of tea but I appreciate the idea. You did get me thinking to the time I fell in the shower.

    Luckily my Mum was there because I cut my head. She’s a retired nurse so she automatically sprang into action.

    Thank you for posting this, it’s made me want to look into bars and slip resistant options.

    1. Hey it’s never going to be for everyone – though when you have mobility issues your ideas quickly change on the things you would love too haha!

  24. I don’t have any plans to adapt at the moment but I’m sure that will change. I hope you manage to get your walk in bath eventually – it sounds like you really want it.

    1. There is something wonderful about it isn’t there, I am still so grateful for having the shower.

  25. It took my mummy 4 months to lie down properly after her lung surgery and even now she finds bathtime a stressful and painful experience. This post has come at a good time and she really needs to think about her options moving forward. She used to really enjoy a soak too. 🙁 Fingers crossed you both find a bathroom solution x

  26. The house that we recently bought has an outdated bathrooms, it definitely needs some major lifts. These are great ideas that I need to keep in mind.

  27. Walk in Bathrooms are really so convenient. This one looks really elegant and has so many convenient functions too. Of course it must be really expensive..

  28. I had no idea there was such a thing as a walk in bath either. My parents got rid of their bath for a double shower as my mum couldn’t get in or out of it so she’d love this as I know she misses a good bath x

    1. There is nothing like a good bath sometimes, I love this offers both a bath and a shower as well so you can decide.

  29. A walk in bath is something completely new to me but an awesome idea. It would be me favorite place to spend some ‘Me’ time after all the household chores.

  30. I would love a walk-in bath, they look so handy especially with the shower on the side. I also love that they are compact and wouldn’t take much space!

  31. I love a good and comfy bathroom where I can bathe and do my business without feeling uncomfortable or uneasy. I think it’s good to be able to do upgrades!

  32. It’s nice to make sure that your bathroom is a place where you feel comfortable. It would be nice to do an upgrade or at least update the bathroom after a couple of years!

  34. There are so many cool products out there – things have come a long way even in the 10 or so years I have been in my home. It would be fun to renovate with some of these.

  36. You can answer me privately but why can’t you take a bath? I have creaky bones but I still take a bath once a week,this where I do my book reading. Walk in baths are a good idea for anyone with bad backs or hips.

    1. It’s a mix of things, my fibro for the pain, my HMS for my joints going out of place and I just don’t have the strength to pull myself up and out anymore. I hate it lol.

  37. I think walk in baths are so cool. I have some knee problems and I hate having to get out of a normal bath.

  38. This walk in bath would be great for people with mobility/flexibility issues and for older people too. I would seriously consider having one when me and my husband start finding difficulties getting into the tub. I know this is expensive so I guess we have to start saving for it now.

  39. My mother in law has a clawfoot tub and I’ve been crushing on it for years. She’s talked about updating her bathroom and I’m hoping she does so I can get that tub.

  40. This is definitely something that my parents have been considering because they’re getting older and it is hard to get into the tub. They have not actually pulled the trigger yet but I think they will soon.

  41. It feels so much better to talk about issues that you’re dealing with in life. I think it’s a form of release. I’d love to make my bathroom even more comfy! I think it’s important to do so.

  43. My dad ripped out the fiberglass tub years ago, and opted for a walk in shower. It’s made things so much easier for my mother at the time. Even though she is now gone, he is glad he did it, because with his aging, it has made things easier on him.

  46. A walk in bath would be interesting! I do want to upgrade my bathroom. Better sinks and fixtures. And flooring. It looks dated. At some point we want to do it!

  47. Still have my doubts about walk in tubs. Know they are growing in popularity. Do you have to sit in the water waiting for it to drain before you can get out?

    1. I would assume you would have to and sit in while it was filling as well or the water would come out the door area.

  48. My Mom looked into walk-in baths a couple of years ago and learned they were very expensive. She’s got bad knees and can’t get into their current tub easily.

    1. I think that’s why so many people just have a seat that rises and lowers into there own bath or like us has a shower put in I hope they come down in price at some point.

  49. A walk in bath would be awesome. My parents looked into putting one in for my mom, but they are wicked expensive so they decided against it.

  50. The walk in sit down in the photo looks like it would be incredible!!!! Can you imagine a nice hot bubblet bath. Wow. And if i win the lotto then i will get one for you and one for me.
