A Day in the Life of Sally
Hello poochie pals! It feels like forever since the hooman allowed me to take over the blog! I mean what is she thinking, we all know you are here for me after all!
I thought I would tell you all about a day in the life of the one and only Sally! After all, I’m sure you have all been dying to know everything I get up to! I thought I would pick one of my favourite days of the week to tell you about hydrotherapy day!
Morning
7:50am – Pee Pee time! Every morning I wake up at 7:50am, unless I’m at the grandparents – then they are mean and get me up much earlier! Potter out to the garden, have a pee. Then grab a drink on the way back to bed, after all, princesses of 17 shouldn’t be up before 10.
10am – The hooman Sarah tells me it’s time to get up, I wander over to my bowl, good there is food. Check out the pigs, yup they are still being lazy, then flake out on the lawn. It’s not my favourite place at the moment, the suns a little too hot and the grass is all scratchy, but Vitamin D needs must.

12pm – I am still undecided if these things being waved in front of me are treats or not… This happens at 12pm daily and sniffing them doesn’t help, but as the hooman gave them to me I’ll accept them. Cronch Cronch.
Afternoon
1pm – Window watching is AWESOME! If I am right then the postman should come by soon and he is always fantastic to bark at as well. Perfect.
1.05pm – Where is the postman? Oh! There’s a leaf rolling by – that will do to woof at instead.
2pm – Wiggle Wiggle – I feel and energy surge coming on…
Here it is…
BOUNCE BOUNCE, watch out hoomans I am coming through ZOOOOOOOOM.
2:15pm – Now I feel hungry, yup kibbles still there, BORING! But bellies need something.
2:30pm – Afternoon nap time.
3:30pm – Oi hooman why you waking me up and then walking into the hall. You know I am going deaf, what you saying!
Hmm best investigate.
Ohh they have shoes on, that means they are going out… Does Sally go too? Or what if they are leaving me FOREVER! Panic, Pace, Panic, Pace.

Peek around the door frame, oh yes! The hooman Ash is getting my lead, bounce, bounce, belly bounce. Quick get it on, car ride time. Why you being so slow and looking at me crossly, bounce bounce.
3:35pm – Quick hooman, off we go in the car!
3:55pm – Oh we have stopped, sniff sniff, where are we?
Ohhh it’s the V.E.T.S. I don’t like that place…
But wait around the corner is my favourite place! Mobility Matters, I wonder if that’s where I am going, I hope it is! I wonder who will look after me today!
4pm – Yay it is hydrotherapy, door open, leads off, ZOOOOOM.
Round and round I go, they hoomans can’t catch me haha!
Oh, they caught me and put the harness on.
4:05pm – Shower time, not sure what I think of this, but then it’s into the underwater treadmill. I’m not sure about when the wet stuff starts rising, it’s a bit odd.
4:15pm – At first this massage was nice, but now it’s getting a bit owch! That’s a sore spot there, but ohh it feels better after, but but but please don’t touch!
4:30pm – Time to cheat! Shhh don’t tell them but I’ve found that if I put my front paws right at the front of the tank it stays still! I don’t need to walk on the treadmill.
Oh no, I was caught.
Never mind hooman Ash is waggling a treat, maybe I can get it. Just reach a little more. Reach and snap.. Whoops, I missed.
4:33pm – Back to massage, sometimes this gets so nice, I almost fall asleep and my nose goes in the water! The indignity! Grumbles.
5pm – Back in the car, I hope we are going to see the grandparents, I get lots of nice nibbles there!
5:15pm – Yay we are!
5:20pm – Give me ALL the treats, (not like I’ve just had loads of hydrotheraphy)!

5:21pm – Finally I have been waiting forever, my treat! The hooman says these ones are good for dog dental care and are called DentaStix, and I have them as I don’t like people coming near my teeth! They just taste good to me!
5:30pm – Oh no it’s all gone! Who stole my treat how dare they!
Well, I guess I better go and pester the others to see what I can get.
Must stay away from that small cat though, she likes to smack me and I mean who could do that to me!
In and out, in and out. Garden, lounge, under feet – that’s what I do!
Evening
7pm – Back in the car, which means it’s all the way home now.
Thank GOODNESS as I am a tired Sal and I need my bed.
Good night Poochie Pals!
This post is a collaboration with PEDIGREE®, but all thoughts are my ownws article for tips and advice.

Sally sounds just like our pooch Ted. He does the most random things that make us actually laugh out loud. We’ve had him 5 years and love him to bits. Your a star Sally
How lovely
Very cute post. Lovely pictures Sally is a beautiful dog
I’m always looking forward to Sally’s day to day activities. Keep it up Sally. Enjoy your everyday dog life.
She’s such a busy bee isn’t she!
this is such a cute post from such a cute pooch! sounds like a busy day in the life of a dog haha
I know right! I don’t know how she keeps up with it all!
Adorable! Never thought to do something like this! Super cute idea, now if only we could know what our pets are thinking! However rather we know or not, they def. make life better!
Haha it would be amazing knowing what was going through your pets brain wouldn’t it.
We have a 5-month-old puppy so every day right now is an adventure and we really need to work on consistency! Between me, my husband and daughters, we are not all handling things the same. Looking forward to improvements soon.
Oh gosh I bet that is amazing trying to keep up with your pup!
What a wonderful post! Sally’s day is similar to my dogs day. Although, Zeus wakes up much earlier, ha ha. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Haha! Sal used to be an earlier riser but these days it’s all about the snooze.
Reading this makes me grin and smile. I love how Sally’s day turns out and you definitely make it really enjoyable to read! I think you should make an instagram for Sally too.
She does have one – I just don’t update it enough it’s @iamsallydog lol.
Awwww what a super cute post! I would love to do one of these with my Pup but as he sleeps for around 23 hours a day, it wouldn’t be that exciting lol xx
Haha go on and do it anyway it would be a fun read 😀
She is beautiful!!! And you are a great mom to her. Loved to read about the funfilled day.
She knows it as well haha! Bless her.
You are very busy! I love your little trick on the treadmill, very clever x
She is a clever little thing isn’t she haha!
I don’t have a dog but looks like you are such a great mommy to this cutie and getting pampered.
She is most definitely a pampered pooch! Little princess lol.
Great day for Sally! It’s amazing to spent time with fur kids… cute Sally!
So glad people enjoyed reading about it – perhaps I need to talk about it more haha!
This is so cute! We have a siberian husky that would love to share what her days look like too.
Aww I bet that would be an amazing day to read about!
Sally seems like an awesome dog. Do you sometimes wish that you were a dog? They seem to have the best, easiest lives.
I most definitely do – just lounge around and eat! What a life!
It’s funny how we can almost know the minds or thought processes of our pets. I’ll ad lib all the time about what my dogs are thinking.
It’s like we become tuned with them isn’t it.
Oh well o be sally for a day. I’d be worn out too. Great post, made me chuckle
Haha I know I wouldn’t mind swapping with her from time to time lol.
I love how you document your furrbaby’s day. I guess, you gave me a reason to do this as well. Let’s see how will my Shasha’s day would be.
I would love to read what other peoples pups get up to! If you do it do let me know!
Totally love this because my dog Tini has her own Insta account and she talks too. Is Sally on Instagram? I would love for Tini to follow her. Tini loves Dentastyx from pedigree
Ohh whats your pups instagram? She does but I don’t update it enough it is @iamsallydog.
Bless her, nice to see my Beagle isn’t the only lazy dog! He doesn’t wake up until 11am most mornings, then after his walk he has to go for his afternoon nap until his tea time, then it’s finally time to wake up, usually until far too late! I think it’s a habit he gone into when he lived with his previous owners in a pub!
Well done Sally on figuring our how to cheat on the treadmill, and girl after my own heart!
Haha bless him, I think they would definitely be nap buddies then!
Now that was interesting and well fun written out. Really great! I wonder how the last family king size country poodle would do in text like that. Anyway thanks for sharing such an awesome post.
How clever of Sally to figure out how to stop the treadmill!
She’s a sneaky so and so! She’s worked out how to get out her car harness as well! We thought it was broken till Ash caught her!
That’s funny about her paw stopping tbe need to walk. Smart one! I haven’t heard of hydrotherapy but it sounds cool.
It is really great it has helped her so much as well!
Haha enjoyed reading this sally sounds like a lovely doggie ??
She really is – I was so lucky to have her 🙂
Oh Sally! What an itinerary you’ve got there! You have quite the busy day but you deserve all the love and caring you get… you’re such a cutie!
She really does bless her – has more things going on than me 😉
Great insight to SALLY’ s life – brought a big smile to my face – loved reading – beautifully written
I am so glad people have enjoyed seeing what the naughty noo gets up to!
She’s such a cute dog. I don’t have any dogs, but I do have ducks, cats and chickens. I have always wanted a dog and I hope someday I’ll get one. Sounds like Sally has a really busy life too.
I hope one day you get to have a dog as well! Sounds like you have some lovely animals though!
This made me giggle. I am terrible for window watching too. My desk is perfectly positioned in front of the living room window so I can watch everything that happens on my street, haha – it’s amazing what I actually see at times!
Oh what a great place to have your desk set – I do like people watching myself I have to admit.
Sally has a busier life than me!! Hydrotherapy sounds fun
I know she never seems to stop bless her.
I love her name, that’s my nickname when I was a kid. Glad you were able to take your hooman’s blog for a day.
It definitely suits her though she does have many nicknames as well lol.
Hahaha this is such a cute post. Got me laughing from the first paragraph. Definitely sharing with a dog parent!
Yay so pleased people enjoyed it – I actually love doing things about Sally haha!
Oh I just love Sally! Her day sounds so fun and like she really enjoys it x
She is awesome I totally have to agree!
It was so nice taking a peep at Sally’s day! She’s so adorable and I think she’s such a lucky dog to have you just like you are lucky to have her. She’s really sweet too!
Aww thank you – I most definitely got lucky with her – I think it was always meant to be.
I LOVE everything about this!
This is the best thing I’ve read in months! Thanks for being such an awesome dog mom to awesome Sally!
Love, love, love this! Oh, the underwater treadmill is tops, just awesome. This post makes me smile and I’ll come back and read it again. Really, just fantastic! 🙂
Yay! You have made my day with this comment – perhaps I need to allow Sally to take over more often 😉
This is the cutest blog post I’ve ever read! I love how it’s depicted in her point of view!!
Haha I have to admit I would love to know what goes through her head at times.
I Love It.
Sally is a cutie. Our dog Dobby loves to watch out the picture window as well, but he barks at everything from people to leaves to butterflies.
I love you have a dog called Dobby our guinea pigs are Dobby and Sock!
Awww Sally sure is living her best life!
She certainly is doing her best too haha!
Such a busy girl! so cute!
HAha she never stops does our Sal 😉
This is such a cute post. Sally has a really busy schedule. She reminds me so much of my dog. He loved looking out the window too.
My Mum always says it’s doggy TV watching everyone who goes by!
Omg this is such a cute idea! It’s definitely neat to read about a dog’s life in their perspective. Thank you for sharing this cute post! <3
It was so fun to do I have to admit haha!
I love how busy she keeps all day. My dogs have a lot of down time but they seem happy to be with us too.
Honestly she never stops unless she is sleeping haha!
Wonderful post. Sally had such a full day!
She is a busy little pup that is for sure! Haha!
Ha! What a cute perspective piece! I could totally write a blog post about my parent’s dogs – I know exactly what those poochies do on the daily!
Ohh go on! I would love to know what other dogs get up to haha!
Sally you look amazing for your age and looks like you have great caring Hoomans. Thank you for sharing your day. Its been special
She does doesn’t she! I can’t believe I have been lucky enough to have her for 12 years. I thought getting a 5 year old rescue we wouldn’t get too long.
Love it! Sally is so cute 🙂
So pleased you like it 🙂
What a lovely Poochie and I enjoyed spending the day with her and she is spoiled my doggy says because she got to go on a ride. So now once daddy is home I will need to take Sandy and Lucy on a ride.
I hope Sandy and Lucy enjoy their ride once their Daddy is home!
Sally sounds like she has a busy schedule. I didn’t realise she was 17 she’s looking well for it.
She really does – she never stops does our Sal haha!
This was really cute to read. Some dogs sure do live the good life, huh?
I know right I would love to come back as a pampered pooch!
Sounds like this pup has young life. I would say our dog has a similar luxurious life of love and laughter with her family that she loves to. What a perfect post.
It is amazing the things we do for our dogs!
I can’t stop laughing! This is so cute and I like the part about going to see the grandparents and getting unlimited treats. So true!
She’s spoilt rotten when she’s there – she’s even allowed on the sofa to give my Dad cuddles!
It sounds like Sally has a busy day! Dogs can be amusing.
If I did one of these for my cats, it would be something like, “Sleep, eat, poo, sleep, eat poo,” and that’s basically it. Maybe “attacking feet” would be added.
Hahah – it is amazing how different cats and dogs are isn’t it!
Oh so cute, I’ve been laughing non-stop. Quite the life, there, Sally!
Yay I am glad it made you giggle!
