I am a big fragrance fan, both personal and home. Would love to have been clever enough to be an aromachologist as the study of beautiful aromas on the mind and mood is fascinating. Need to work on the other senses, though.

  8. I had never heard of Sensehacking before. I admit that I pay more attention to thoughts rather than feelings, maybe that is something I need to work on.

  9. I do think with the increase of technology and modern inventions that a lot of us have started to neglect our own senses, or do not take care of them very well. Whether it’s bright light into our eyes or loud sound blasting into our ears and of course there’s lifestyle choices too, such as alcohol and smoking, and the use of drugs that numb us out with. But I relate to everything I here. It’s very easy to underestimate the power of a touch or just hearing your parent’s or child’s voice, tasting something from a childhood memory, or seeing something as simple as a rainbow. All these can provoke, powerful feelings that one cannot explain. Sadly, I haven’t really been in touch with my sixth sense, due to my lack of self-esteem. I am too reliant on peoples opinions and judgements that hinders my ability to make decisions of my own.

  10. A very interesting blog post. I will try to be more aware of my senses, we take so much for granted in our busy lives. I will ask Alexa to play some relaxing sounds and see how it affects me

  11. I love getting to a natural place – even if it can only be a few trees. Best of all by the sea and really appreciating my surroundings
