  1. I’m not doing so good this week think it’s from being in the house so much.I enjoyed home schooling for a while as it brought routine as well as some variety to the day but everyday feels the same now and although I like routine I need a little variety too which is probably why I chose a career in education tbh.

Other than home schooling I’ve been trying to read more and I’ve just finished reading the minute I saw you by Polly Toon and really enjoyed it I normally read crime fiction or thrillers but I wanted something more light hearted recently and I would recommend this book to anyone that hasn’t read it.I’ve been using my local library’s ebook app borrowbox to borrow ebooks and audio books which has really helped me during this lockdown. Our library has been closed since the first lockdown as it’s run by volunteers so having an option to borrow books through the app has been amazing.

    1. I’ve gone really downhill this week – I think it must be linked to the time of year as well perhaps.

Ohh that sounds like a great way to get books, it must be such a shame libraries having to be closed for all this time as well.

  2. I am praying that everything will be okay really soon. For our family and loved ones. Me and my family are trying to cope up. Thank you for sharing your week.

  3. It is hard knowing the pandemic is reaching about a year now. However, I am able to still stay positive and be grateful for what we have.

  4. Our areas has been off and on with some restrictions. We’ve not been on full lockdown in Southern Illinois since July. Because I work online, it’s not affected me much, except for less traveling to speak at conferences. I used to speak at 7-12 WordCamps (WordPress conferences) across the US, in a year.

    1. Oh wow it’s amazing that you normally speak at so many camps hopefully one day soon you can get back to them.

  5. Wow, so lucky that so many could get the vaccine! I am getting my first shot on sunday but the rest of my family cannot.

  6. It was nice to read your last month’s post and then this one! It feels like things have changed so much but then at the same time not at all.

  7. Almost a year since our lives changed forever. Now everything is different and we don’t know what will be tomorrow!

  8. Like you, I’m hopeful that the vaccine will help people get back to normal. Last December I drove my mom down to spend the winter with my sister, and I haven’t seen either of them since. I haven’t even seen my sisters who live in town except through the window. My husband has a compromised immune system and has had not had the vaccine yet.

    1. It is so hard isn’t it just not being able to see people like normal, not being able to hug those we love.

  9. I can not believe it already been a year since we had the first case in the UK, it’s a shame so many people have died since.

    1. It is awful isn’t it? I can’t believe how quickly things have changed and how we really don’t know what will happen next.

  10. It’s scary how fast life can change but it’s also warming to see how well people have pulled together to support one another without direct contact.

  11. Oh it really makes me want to cry every time I see Captain Tom on the TV. He was the light through this awful pandemic, amazing man. I cannot believe it has been a year too. It felt so far away then.

  12. This pandemic makes our lives crazy since last year and I am still believing that we are going to end this successfully. Keeps on praying, believing, and have faith in Him everything will be fine.

  13. My husband has been keeping a photo diary during the pandemic and I think it will be a unique view of what life was like for us- that our grandchildren can look back on with wonder in years to come!

  14. It’s mad to think it’s been a whole year already. I can remember lying in bed in my hotel room in Borneo in early March thinking “Ah, it’ll all blow over in a few weeks!” Yikes…

    1. Definitely the same here, I remember not thinking much about it until my Dad started worrying and then I was like OK this is something more.

  15. I know what you mean about social media sometimes – I see people smashing it and it just doesn’t come naturally to me when using my own – I get self conscious! If I’m scheduling for a client though, I’m fine – perhaps its because it isn’t under my name?

    1. I’m with you on that I feel better if I’m doing it for someone else, I can be business-like then, I’m self-conscious being myself on social media – I think it’s because so many people will see it who perhaps aren’t your audience and they know how to be mean.

  16. I was saying to a friend yesterday it’s amazing that it’s been a year and where has the time gone, it’s insanity. I have to admit last weekend was the first time that it’s been pretty hard for me in lockdown.

    1. It is crazy isn’t it – I’ve really struggled with lockdown I’m a home body but even so I’ve started to really find it draining and a struggle.

  17. My daughters hair has the vaccine , so I’m feeling more hopeful about it all now . My heatings been on constantly for the past few weeks , it’s freezing isn’t it!

  18. I strongly believe we are finally slowly getting there. The vaccine rollout is proving to be a success and cases are dropping. We just need to hang on a little bit longer. We can do this.

  19. I have been watching a lot of streaming services as well.

Also, I love woodfire pizzas. So delicious. We like to order pizza for dinner every 2 weeks.

  20. My daughter would love the pug long hot water bottle she is pug mad and has various pug bits around her room. I have been thankful for the heating although being a certain age I get too hot and make everyone else in the room freeze
