  1. I too never even thought about insurance, my daughter has mental health problems which suddenly exploded when she was 13 years old. Some 4 years later we are still struggling to get her help, mental health for kids is basically crap!

    1. Oh gosh, I am so so sorry to hear that. It makes me so sad that 15+ years later there is no different in the care for younger people with mental health.

  3. I suffer with PMDD which hasn’t yet taken over my life but it is slowly destroying my mental health once a month! I feel for people who suffer problems everyday and I imagine insurance is really hard to sort. Thanks for the tips

  4. Yes I suffer with what will be life long mental health issues for me and I will always be on medication for it. My travel insurance wont insure me for it though.

    I am on very strong lifelong meds for it and have management tools for it. Basically I have learnt how to manage my mental health rather than it manage me. Its still an issue though. You wouldn’t have to manage something if it wasnt a problem.

    It’s good its getting more coverage and there is less stigma. There will always be some way to go with it. At least the message is getting out there now and the stigma is slowly being broken down
