  4. Hiring movers that you can trust is so important. At the end of the day you’ve worked so hard for your posessions, you want to make sure that they remain in tact! xxx

    1. It really is – they are going to have so many different precious things to look after so you have to know you can trust them.

  5. Some really great hints and tips here Sarah that I have definitely used in the past while moving, I would add to the overnight bag, the makings for a brew including the kettle lol.

  6. I guess it depends on how big your household is. For me, I just threw everything into my car and drove off. However, for families your tips are a must have.

  7. Moving house is one of my least favourite things in the world. I find it so stressful, it takes me ages to get sorted and update my address etc.

    1. It is horrid isn’t it – it’s so so stressful, I’m hoping we don’t have to move again for a while at least.

  8. Anything that makes moving home less stressful is a win for me. I can remember moving from our third floor flat and thanking our lucky stars that we had opted to hire a removal company.

  9. These are great tips! I am moving at the end of February and I am already dreading all the packing and sorting. Plus, moving the cat, which is a job on its own, as he is a rescued attached to the house who screams for the entire duration of an outdoors trip.

  11. Great tips here. I think many of these could be implemented for us right now as we are having some renovations done and I’m struggling mentally to deal with the chaos.

    1. Oh gosh yeah anything like that happening around the home can be horrid – it just sends everything upside doesn’t it?
