Savisto Popcorn Maker: Review
If there is one thing that completes a movie night it has to be popcorn and while shop brought can be OK, there is nothing like freshly popping kernels to accompany your favourite flick.
Now I used to love making popcorn on the stove, but since my shakes have got worse and my fibro tends to be flaring up at those times I really want to snuggle down with popcorn and watch a film, it just isn’t possible. So that left microwave popcorn and while it does the job, it isn’t really quite the same, as such I was really interested to see if the Savisto popcorn maker would fill that spot.
Coming in a vintage style the Savisto popcorn maker, uses hot air to pop the kernels and as you don’t need to add anything to help the popcorn on its way, it makes for a much healthier snack than shop brought alternatives.
So how easy is it to use?
Actually I was really surprised on just how simple it was to use, the popcorn maker comes in three parts the base, which is where the kernels are heated (this can be wiped clean only), the main funnel and of course a lid. With the lid also doubling as way to measure out the correct amount of kernels, so you won’t struggle with putting too much in.
I was surprised to find that the popcorn actually only took a few minutes to be ready and that if you put in the correct amount according to the lid, it just filled up one of the boxes included perfectly.
Of course if you did want to add some flavouring or seasoning to your popcorn you can do this, once it is ready to eat.
Overall I was really impressed with the Savisto popcorn maker, it is so simple to use, makes delicious popcorn in minutes and is a lot smaller (295mm x 150mm x 170mm) than I assumed it would be, meaning even in a small kitchen we have managed to find space for it. It has definitely been something we have used on a number of occasions already and I am sure we will use it often in the coming future as well.

Sincerely to say that popcorn is not good for the healthy. It contains much sweetness, butter, salt. But many people enjoy it while watching TV or for great night at movie theater.
But it doesn’t, if you had read this post or even the comment above yours you will see this post is about a device which makes air popped popcorn, you can add butter / salt / icing sugar if you wish of course after it has been air popped – you can’t add anything into the machine as it would break it (also it is worth noting that some flavourings actually don’t add much to the popcorn it is possible these days to get flavoured and healthy popcorn), but popcorn on is own, which has been air popped is not unhealthly a cup contains 30 calories.
This device is not useful for me cos I don’t like popcorn. Too much sweetness, butter, salt and of course not good to our health. For runner, we shouldn’t take much snacks and foods containing much salt and sugar. Not my fav device.
Plain air popped popcorn which this makes, is actually very healthy (a cup contains around 30 calories) it is only when you add things to it, it becomes unhealthy.. So I am unsure what you mean by this, it is actually one of the best snacks you can choose as long as you don’t add a lot of things to it. Of course that doesn’t matter if you don’t like it, but please do your research before branding something unhealthy.
Hey, look at this device. So convenient. Savisto Popcorn Maker is really useful for my kitchen. Though popcorn is not my favorite snack, my nieces and nephews must love it.
I actually have this popcorn maker. My parents got it for my husband and I for our wedding gift.
Sounds as good as it looks. I love popcorn but the way it gets stuck down my teeth always gives me second thoughts to be honest.

That is a super cute gadget but if there is one thing I hate, it’s popcorn! Sweet or salty, both a no..except for Joe Sephs toffee flavour.

Where do you buy the popping corn from? I’ve checked my local supermarkets and none of them seem to do it. I can find some online but the cost plus the postage is too high to justify!
I got mine from Tesco – it’s listed as popping corn but it often doesn’t come it to way down the list, the brand at Tesco’s is Whitworths Popping Corn (pop that in and nothing else will come up), it’s £1.90 for a bag 🙂 x

NIce review, i’ve been wanting one for years, I even have some popcorn seasoning that I bought from Amazon to use on my store bought popcorns.
Ohh I’ll have to have a nose on there from some different seasonings, I normally just had it plain or salted but might be nice to have something as an alternative. x
