One of the best things about the sun coming out, means you can take the party outside (or so you would hope), allowing you to soak in the sun, enjoy the fresh air and party on down with your pals all in the comfort of your own back garden (or front, street parties are can be amazing – as long as of course you can get everyone involved).
In the hopes of being able to throw the best garden party soon, here are 5 of my best tips to organising your party:
1. Get Planning.
Make sure you know what you what to achieve and how you plan to do it. One of the worst things that could happen is for the day of the party to arrive and you end up realising you have no supplies and none of the shops nearby have what you want. Now that could put a complete dampener on the day no matter how much the sun is out.
Once you know what you want to do, get yourself organising the party supplies. Places like Perfect Party UK offer all the party accessories you could need under one virtual roof; including balloons, games, tableware and decorations. While your local supermarket or butcher are worth checking out to see who offers the best pennies when it comes to BBQ food and drinks.
Allow yourself time on the day to get things sorted, if you can ask some of the guests if they can help, perhaps one of them is wonderful at making puddings so you could ask them to bring their best dish for all to try, or one might be able to stop by a little earlier just to sort out the tableware so you can get yourself dressed.
4. Have a backup plan.
This is the UK – the weather might not hold out, so think about how you can cook the food should the worst happen and also look for things you can do inside, card games are something you could play whatever the weather, while football might be best to be kept for when the sun it out.
5. Have Fun
At the end of the day it isn't just your guests who should enjoy the party you should to. So stop running from place to place with dishes every five minutes and set up an area where people can pop things when finished with and allow yourself to sit down and join in.
