5 Great Ideas for a Villa Holiday
If you are still wondering about the best place to head away on holiday this summer or looking to book something special for a winter sun getaway then I have some great ideas for you and your loved one in the form of villa holidays thanks to Clickstay.
Florida.
I keep talking about one day making it back to Orlando in Florida, getting to visit Disney and Universal would be high on my list of must dos. While a hotel would, of course, be fine, I love the idea of renting a villa allowing you the comfort of a home away from home.
Many villas in Florida offer luxuries such as private pool and parking as well as those essentials of air con and wifi. What surprised me about the villas on offer in the Florida area most of all, was if you are willing to drive and don’t mind sharing some amenities you can look at paying under £300 per week.
Thailand.
Thailand is a country I have heard so much about and is one I would love to visit one day. One thing I had never however thought about was staying in a villa while visiting this colourful and vibrant country. However, places such as Phuket have some gorgeous villa’s offering beautiful scenery, pools and wifi.
As a place to stay Phuket offers easy access to everything you may want, from the bustling nightlife of Bangla Road, beautiful views of Phang Nga Bay and the ability to visit sights such as Wat Chalong and Phuket Temples, the Big Buddha and the must-see Phuket FantaSea show.
Greece.
I feel a bit like I am just listing places I would love to visit, now but I have to admit Greece is on my bucket list as well. In fact, they have some gorgeous luxury villas in Athens that caught my eye, after all, who wouldn’t love to explore the history behind this beautiful city.
There is so much do to and see in Athens, including, of course, Parthenon and Acropolis as some must visit ancient ruins, Benaki Museum which features treasures from the Bronze Age right on up to WWII. While Mount Lycabettus is the perfect place to capture views of Athens and if you are brave enough to venture up at sunset you won’t be disappointed by the beautiful views.
Italy.
Ah Italy a place of so many dreams, I mean where do you start? There is Rome, Venance and Florance and of course Pompeii a place that has interested me for as long as I can remember. For, me I think a villa would make the perfect place to be able to kick back and relax in after a long day exploring the amazing history of this beautiful country.
The only issue would be where to stay and what to see. After all, you can’t see it on just one holiday.
France.
I recently wrote about 5 things to do in the South of France and I honestly cannot think of a better way to relax while visiting this exciting area than renting a villa or apartment. For me renting a home away from home really fits in with the laid back vibe of this area.
So there are a few places around the world you could think about heading off to on a villa holiday, but what do you think about them, is a villa holiday something you would be interested in?

Florida is actually one of the places that I am planning to go. I planned a cruise trip next year the set sail from one of the ports in Florida. I am planning to visit Disneyland too while I am in the area anyway.
Great ideas. We rented a villa in Portugal one year. It had it’s own private swimming pool and air con. It was fantastic. And you get to know the locals better, without masses of tourists.

Oh wow you lucky thing I do love the south coast, it’s my dream location to live in the UK haha!
I’ve never had a villa holiday as such, although we have family who have their own villa where they live in Spain. I guess I like the luxury of having your food cooked for you in an hotel.
Ash was saying he knows people who have their own villa in Spain I guess it is nice to just be able to get out and go when you want.
For me it’s all about Italy, its one of my favourite places on earth! xxx

Oh my gosh, yes to Thailand! We didn’t go to Phuket as it can be very touristy in the season, but it does look beautiful. We spent a few weeks in Changmai up north and I dream about going back every day! The food, the people, the scenery – everything is amazing. Let me know if you ever book.
Thailand just looks absolutely amazing. It sounds like you had an awesome time, I will definitely be in touch if I get so lucky!

Thailand is truly on my travel bucketlist. My friends and I are planning a trip around going there and of course we want a nice villa to enjoy our vacay.
This is an amazing round up! With all the holidays … and a baby on the way, I have to ask hubby for a good suggestion and help with this. xx

It does seem like a great way to spend your time, I love that it is somewhere you could stay iwth a large group.
We love staying in villas when we travel, as it’s a home away from home. That’s great especially when you have kids.
It really does seem to offer that doesn’t it, hotels just aren’t quite as relaxing sometimes with all the noise around you.
Really love to go holidays in those places. You’re a traveller. I love to see those places in time.
I hope you manage to get to see them over time 🙂
You can’t beat a villa holiday. I love the freedom and privacy.
It does offer that extra bit of freedom doesn’t it and I love you can add in things like your own private pool.

Oh wow so glad you had an amazing time at them, Thailand seems absolutely amazing doesn’t it.
You’ve chosen some great places – I adore Italy and I agree, it would be a great place to have a villa holiday. I’d definitely consider visiting Greece on a villa holiday
It seems like such a lovely place to retire and relax to, I would have loved the ability to just swim as well once upon a time.
As a family of 6 I think we will be hiring a Vila for our first trip abroad next year. It’s so much easier for larger families but also better to have your own space.
Oh I hope you have an amazing time if you decide to go for a villa holiday!
Wow, cool! These all look like some fabulous places to explore. My priority will be Thailand to see the bustling nightlife.
It seems like so many people would love to visit Thailand and I really don’t blame them I would love to as well!
I love the idea of renting a home away from home and wouldn’t mind any of these cities at the moment
It is nice isn’t it, I love hotels but a villa just seems like it would be so much more relaxing.
I love renting vacation villas on our annual summer trips to Florida. I’d love to visit Thailand and Greece one day as well.
There is something about a villa the more I think about it the more I don’t ever want to stay anywhere else.
The next time we go on holiday we’re going to go on a villa holiday. We just did the package resort holiday and it definitely wasn’t for us!
Ohh how exciting for you, I hope you have the most amazing time on your next holiday!
this is the best list of villa holidays.though it looks expensive but worth a try.
It doesn’t have to be so expensive, I was really surprised at how much villas can cost yes you get those that cost £1000s but some aren’t bad at all.
Totally agree with your list. I would love to vacation in any of the places you mentioned!
I really hope you manage to make it visit them all one day 🙂

Hopefully I’ve offered you a new idea then 🙂 it really seems like the most amazing way to stay.
Greece is my dream since I was a little girl. I would love to go there soon! But my son always wants to go to Disney, so I visited Florida so many times. Italy is also on my list.
Aww I hope you manage to make it to Greece one day to fulfil your lifelong dream.
I have never heard of Cickstay but looks quite useful. Thailand looks awesome and is #1 in my wishlist. Hopefully next year is the year I touch down in Thailand!
It looks like such a useful website doesn’t it – I’m amazed by the choice they have.
Oh my goodness, this is like my dream vacation bucket list…with the exception Florida but only because I live close and have been a gazillion times. Lol It is fun though. Great post!
Totally let you off Florida in that case then 😉
All of those places seem like a perfect getaway. Reading the list though I got excited when I saw Italy. The food is the best part I would say.
Oh for sure food it in Italy must be just amazing the thought just makes my mouth water.
Ooo staying in a villa would be amazing. I’d love to stay in one in France or Greece. Those are places I hope to get to soon!
I hope you manage to stay in one soon, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for me.
I’ve only been to Florida. When reading this I realized I need to travel more and soon
I hope you manage to get to travel a little more in the years coming ahead.
Both Italy and France are very high on my travel bucket list and staying in a hostel is absolutely out of the question. A villa sounds lovely, especially if it offers a full kitchen since I would want to cook using local ingredients.
It would be amazing wouldn’t it a perfect home from home with all those home comforts you need.
I would love to stay at some sort of villa in a snowy place for the holidays. Of course, I would also miss my house, so maybe at Thanksgiving instead.
Oh can you imagine and having a crackling fire how amazing!
I’m doing my first villa holiday this year and I’ll definitely be checking out this website for future villa holidays!
Oh I hope you have the most amazing time on your first villa holiday!
There’s so many options. I’d love to do more of Italy, I’m doing Venice and Rome in November but there’s so much more x
Oh wow have an amazing time in November, I look forward to hearing what you get up to.
I’ve never really thought about staying in a villa before. What a beautiful idea, as opposed to a hotel/motel.
It does sound lovely doesn’t it more of a home than a hotel offers for sure!
We always rent a villa when we stay in Portugal, but I definitely fancy trying a villa holiday in another country soon
Oh I hope you have an amazing holiday sometime soon, be it Portugal or elsewhere!
The good news is I’ve been to all 5 of those locations. The bad news is I never stayed at a villa. I need to change that ASAP.
Oh wow did you have a good time at all 5? Anything you would particularly suggest doing?
I would really love to take the children to Florida one day. That would definitely be a dream holiday for us.
I hope you manage to make it it is an amazing place.
I’ve always wanted to visit Greece. It’s such a beautiful place and I can imagine myself in a villa overlooking the beautiful sea.
It is an absolutely beautiful place to visit isn’t it, a villa over looking the sea would be the dream.
I’ve never thought of staying in a villa, but I am sure there are some beautiful options! I’ll have to check when I’m planning a vacation.
Most definitely have a look as there are some beautiful villas out there and many have some gorgeous extras.
Been to Florida and Greece and did the islands as well. Italy is on my list to visit next. Want to see Vatican City and travel down the coast and go to the boot. We just returned from England, Ireland and Iceland and had a wonderful time.
Oh wow you have travelled so much it sounds like you really enjoy it as well, I hope to see more of the world one day.
