5 Benefits Of Joining A No Obligation Gym
Let’s for a moment look back;
“It’s 2nd January, resolutions to get fit have been made, and now it’s time to get started. Heading over to the local gym you notice that there is a line of people waiting to sign up: guess you were not the only one that promised themselves to get in shape. Sign up for a 6-month contract, pay only for 5, great deal! You drag yourself to the gym for about two weeks and then never set your foot even close to the premises for the rest of the contract.”
Is that something that rings a bell?
But wait.
There are no obligation gyms in Leeds, London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool and, with the pay as you go model, customers are set to save serious cash because no matter the reason, a membership can be cancelled at any time. Don’t use the gym? Don’t pay.
No yearly contracts.
No obligation gyms are much more flexible as you only pay for a month at a time (or even daily, if you wish). Getting stuck in a complicated contract that you can’t cancel can be a nightmare if your circumstances change, but this is no issue with this model.
Pay for what you need.
Many gyms offer different pricing for different facilities, and you can pick and choose what you want included. No need for a changing room with showers? Don’t pay for it. Want access to the pool? Add it to your package.
Day passes.
One great benefit of joining a no obligation gym is that you can join the gym for a day, either to test it out or for when away from home. This offers great flexibility at a low price.
Fitness classes.
Normally classes such as Zumba, yoga or aerobics can be quite expensive, but if you only pay for the classes you attend, those prices suddenly become very reasonable. This is excellent for people that only want to attend a few classes each month.
Better service.
When stuck in a contract for 6 months to a year, the staff at the gym don’t have the same incentive to go out of their way to help you. When they risk losing you next month, though, the standard of service naturally moves up a gear and is even better.
Looking for a gym in Leeds, London, Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool? Embrace the no obligation gym model and enjoy a cheaper price without any commitments!
What do you think of the idea of a no obligation gym?

This perfectly applies to me since I have a love hate relationship going to the gym. Thanks for sharing!
The only reason I join a gym is for the classes! I love Zumba and Aqua Fit. But I’m one of those people who go for a couple months and then never go back. lol sad
I’ve never done classes I have to admit – always been to shy! x
Amazing! what a great benefits! Hope my gym read this haha
I am against basically all contracts, especially those at gyms! There are so many benefits!
See if there was more gyms like this then I would go, I would love to go when I can and not because I have to!
It definitely is a really good idea isn’t it – makes thing a lot less pressurised as well. x
I think this is a great way to save money for those who visit the gym regularly. I am not a gym goer because I walk or work out at home.
I’ve never wanted to go to a gym, but sometimes I realize I’d go with a friend and try new things.
Something like this would make it so easy as well as you could just pop in when the both of you were free 🙂 x
I think that the moment we feel obliged to do something, we start resenting it no matter how much we love it. Having no obligation to the gym makes it more like a want rather than a have to.
I’d like the freedom of choice that goes with something like this… My son uses the gym every single day, so for him a commitment membership is no big deal, but for someone like me who doesn’t use the gym regularly (oh boy I admitted that publicly) other options would def. be more ideal. Glad there are no oblig. gyms out there, I honestly didn’t even know there were.
I wish we have a no-obligation gym here in the Philippines. The membership fee is a pain!
It is such an awesome idea – I’m hoping more open around the UK (and world) x
I prefer this option. I like going to gym but sometimes, the membership fees are high.
This is so true – it can be hard sometimes making sure you make it enough each month to warrant the outlay. x
I honestly think this is perfect for people who don’t go to the gym on a regular basis. It’s nice to be able to workout whenever you can even without a gym membership. This is definitely something I’ll consider!
Most definitely – I’m sure everyone has the want to go every now and again so it is such a wonderful option to have at hand. x
This is the only type of gym I would join. My schedule changes so often it might be a waste of money to join a gym with lots of obligations.
Sounds like it would be the perfect sort of gym for you then in the long run! 🙂 x
It’s been a while since I last joined a gym. It would definitely be more convenient to join one without any obligations.
I like the fact it would just let you go when you wanted and if you weren’t feeling up to it, it doesn’t matter as you wouldn’t be paying! x
I have never heard of these gyms before but would be neat to use! I need to find a gym.
Well worth having a look to see if you have any near 🙂 X
Great points! Obligations are why I just work out at home, haha – we don’t have no obligation gyms here.
Haha now that is a point – if you have the space to do it at home then amazing! x
Blimey this is awesome! Why can’t we have no obligation gyms here. I would join in a heart beat.
Hey you never know they might be around or if not hopefully they will make their way there soon. x
This is really good to know! I am moving back home to NJ for the summer and right now I go to my college’s free gym so I don’t have to worry about payments. But over the summer I’ll be there and I will have to look at local gyms to go to!
I hope you manage to find one cloe to home which will allow you to pay as you go 🙂 x

This is nice, not being tied up with a gym. I love going to gym but I hate the expensive costs of membership.
It is such a nice idea – I like the fact you can just do what you want when you want 🙂 x
I like gyms where you only pay for what you use. I don’t use every aspect of the gym and it makes it much cheaper.
Ig is really good – I’ve not come across one with quite this concept before so definitely need to find out mor.e
This would be the way I’d probably go if I did a gym membership. I hate being tied into commitments like that!
It is hard isn’t it knowing you have to pay month in month out but perhaps aren’t able to actually use it all the time. x
These are fantastic benefits, there is nothing worse than wasting money every month when you are tied into a contract and your health has changed for the worst.
Most definitely especially if you don’t know if you can make it every month as well. x
The no long term contract is the best reason for me. I do things in spurts so there is a good chance I will go for two months and then spend the third month on a take long walks plan.
I am totally the same so I think it would make such a huge difference being able to pay when you do go. x
This type of gyms have a lot of pros, I’m thinking about joining one
I’d love to hear how you get on if you do give it a try 🙂 x
We have a gym that’s a flat $10 a month. And no questions if you want to break the contract. I wish it were closer because I need the motivation to get over there.
Oh that is an awesome price, it is amazing how much it can cost at some places.
It’s also great for the people who start the year
oops, I accidently sent that comment before i finished…A no obligation gym is perfect for people like me with good intentions but are lazy and never get to the gym.
I really appreciate the benefits of a no obligation gym membership. I like the daily passes and the fact that there is no binding contract that lasts forever!
Definitely – I wish there was a pool that was a bit more like it, but was smaller and quieter. x
I used to go to this gym which I never have any obligations with. I go there on days I need and wanted to go and pay daily. works for me.
This is what I need. I hate paying for a gym membership and feeling pressured to have to go there every single day. If I don’t want to work out, or I can’t, then I shouldn’t have to. And I shouldn’t feel the judgement for it either.
I have a membership and I’m thinking about cancelling it as I haven’t been for ages as I haven’t felt physically up for it but I know when I can go it does me good.
This looks amazing! I’m going to have to find a no obligation gym near me. I love the idea of not being stuck in a contract.
It is such a simple but great idea isn’t it – I hope you find one 🙂 x
I have seen these in some cities and it IS a money saver. On the other hand, it IS easy to not go! You’ve pointed out some good advantages.
It is hard isn’t it, a lot to think about whichever way you decide to go in the end. x
