4 Garden Additions for Summer
Summer is coming, or at least for a couple of days this week it has felt like it.
I even complained I was too hot one day, can you believe it!
Each summer I’ve looked forward to getting out in the garden and watching Sal and the Pig Pair play. However, this year we just have Sock. So while it will be different I am sure we will still love watching him popcorn in joy.
If like me you are looking forward to the summer ahead, here are 4 garden additions for summer I think you might love.

Garden Bench or Chairs.
We have a mix of seating items in our garden. From our bench with a lift up table in the middle, to a concrete owl seat which I love.
That is perhaps the most fun thing about garden seating, these days there is so much choice.
From tables and chairs to bean bags there is something to fit everyone who likes to spend some time outdoors.

Shed.
Honestly, I don’t know what we would do without our shed these days. It is just perfect for keeping the overspill from the bungalow in.
As Solid Sheds show, there is a whole host of different designs and colours to choose from.
What’s more, if you can even really push the boat out with a pent shed.
These gorgeous sheds and summer houses are perfect for storage or as a little space to get away in, for instance, one of the summer houses would be perfect as a craft area!

BBQ.
If you are looking to throw a get-together or two over the summer months, then how about treating yourself to a nice BBQ.
There are so many different options out there, no matter if you are the person who just throws some burgers and sausages onto the grill, or likes to go all out.

Flower Bed or Vegetable Patch.
There is nothing quite as wonderful as watching things you have planted come to life.
So if you have a patch of ground just calling out to be made into something new, why not spend some time making it into the plant patch of your dreams?
You might just find you have green fingers you didn’t know about.
However, I would love to know what you think is a must for a summer garden?

I do love a garden full of colour, some wonderful tips here, thank you
Lovely post. Aside from plenty of flowering plants, I love some low-maintenance seating for a summer garden.
hope that you get your garden how you wish to have it
I don’t have a yard or even a patch, but if and when I do, I’d love to have some flowers, and a bench would be so nice.
This year we are sorting the garden out, things need to be changed and we so need a shed to place everything in, thank you for this garden additions write up, found it interesting
Good luck with sorting your garden out – it is such a nice place to be able to sit and relax.
My partner likes garden decor, he’s been wanting to make a ping pong table for outdoors funnily enough. I personally like cute coloured benches and garden lights 🙂
Haha that would be such a fun idea to have outside I LOVE IT!
I’ve taken over looking after our garden this year, so I’m in the mood for shopping! We’ve already got a BBQ and shed, but I definitely want a new table and chairs, and maybe a bench too
Ohh good luck with whatever you decide to do with your garden! It is fun to get to change things about.
I have to say I agree a shed does make all the difference for storing gardening tools.
It is such a useful thing to have in the garden isn’t it!
All great ideas, I have the bbq but I do need a shed desperately. and I mean it. I also loved the bench, I have a few chairs but they are starting to look old.
There is something really nice about a bench, we always had table and chairs before, but I love my bench!
Little things like this really add up when it comes to the garden. I really love your ideas!
Thank you! You can really make your garden an extension of your home can’t you.
I would like to add a nice bench or chairs and a trolley to serve food and drinks. We love relaxing outdoors in the summertime.
Ohh that would be lovely, I adore the trolly idea!
I really miss BBQs now that I live in a flat. As soon as I buy a house with a little garden I’ll be buying one for sure xxx
There are so many ups and downs to different homes isn’t there! Good luck with getting your BBQ back on one day.
im deffo up for the bench and the bbq lol
Those are all great ideas! I wish I had a sunny spot for a vegetable garden. We have some plastic chairs and a table, but I’d love to get a nice bench. Last summer we made a small pond (about 4 X 8) and it is quite a treat to watch the frogs. We just bought 10 small goldfish today. Last summer we had 3, and they all made it through the winter.
Oh that is amazing! I hope you get some more frogs visiting this year and your new fish do well!
I am really starting to get into my garden, although I don’t like doing all the hard work.
We had an amazing Summer House in our previous house and I have to say that I really miss it. I would like a new one in this garden,
We have successfully grown squash, tomatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, strawberries, potatoes and onions, It is amazing to watch them shoot up
Oh wow your garden sounds amazing! I have to admit our neighbour has veg and we sometimes wake up to some on our back doorstep!
I need to get some outdoor furniture for our garden this year as all we have at the moment are a couple of fold-up picnic chairs!

I hope you manage to get some new little bits to have around your home this year!
Summer calls for some good outdoor seats and a BBQ spot. Always time to try all the amazing BBQ recipes in the patio.
There’s nothing like making some great BBQ ideas is there.
So ready for the garden to start blooming. A shed is nice as are the benches. I can’t wait to start BBQing in the backyard as well. So much fun.
Ohh sounds like you have a lot of things ready to go on in your garden this year!
Gardening is such a relaxing hobby. I just got some new babies – hydrangeas in pink and purple. I hope they give me huge blooms! It would be nice to sit outside on the porch with a good view of my flowering plants. Which reminds me, I want to get some new patio furniture!
There is something wonderful about getting to spend time in the garden isn’t there.
Reading this post has got me really excited for the summer now, we have our first BBQ next weekend and are painting garden furniture, ready for it.
Ohh that sounds amazing – enjoy your first BBQ of the year!
Such great ideas! Adding a garden decor like a wind spinner is also a great idea for me. I have two in my garden but I want to add more.
We have a wind spinner, it is really nice watching it go wild sometimes.
These are lovely ideas! We have a really small are for a garden outside the house. A bench or shed would be a great addition if I find more space for it.
It is hard isn’t it – sometimes working out what space you have and what you can put into it.
I would like to spend sometime in your garden. Because it’s cute and relaxing place. Wish I could see more of your garden plants photos 😀
My garden plants need a clean out I think they are snowed under by grass at the moment lol.
