Yves Rocher – MONOï Eau des Vahinés: Review
Last month I was lucky enough to review the Lagoon Hair and Body Wash from Yves Rocher – I mentioned at the end how much I really wanted to try the matching fragrances and they were kind enough to send me a bottle this month to try out!
MONOï – Eau des Vahinés
This wonderfully tropical fragrance is paraben free and contains the botanical-based ingredients of Coconut oil and tiare flower extract as well as using Ylang Ylang flowers and vanilla as a base to make this wonderfully tropical scent.
It is the perfect partner for the Lagoon Hair and Body Wash, they both offer the same sweet fragrance that could just make you believe you are settled on a fair away sea-shore and the wind is lapping at your feet.
As with most, if not all perfumes, I do find the first blast a bit over powering, but after a few minutes it tones down, to leave a sweet, fresh, floral fragrance – to me the Tiare and coconut shine through above everything, which, as time goes on, is joined by a rich vanilla scent.
The one thing that I found the most disappointing about MONOï Eau des Vahinés was the fact that, on me at least, it really didn’t last very long, unless you would have to give the actual area sprayed a good sniff, but if you are sitting on the beach shore, who’s to say you cannot keep giving yourself the odd spritz.
However that being said, I was using the fragrance alone and I do wonder if the lack of longevity, could be improved on by the use of other pieces in MONOï range, before applying the fragrance. As the MONOï also includes a couple of different oils available which could be applied between the wash and the EDT.

I’ve never tried any Yves Rocher products, Its nice to see a review I was umming and ahhing as to whether to try them or not as some scented stuff makes my skin itchy but I know you have said your skins a bit sensitive so I think I will try something.
Oh yes. You already had me at coconut oil.

This does look very tropical. I love coconut smells – although I’m not sure about having it as a fragrance a body wash sounds right up my street!
My mom used to buy Yves Rocher products! I used to love them too but you can’t get them here in Ecuador.

I love Monoi Oil. We got some when we were in France and I use it all the time. It is coconut oil based and great.
