  1. A nice warm bath with epsom salts for the aches and period cramps, a glass of red wine and some evening primrose oil for ph balancing, a bromelain for pain and inflammation relief and gentle exercise like yogic stretches or pilates 🙂

  2. I try not to really do anything differently; but I don’t beat myself up if I need to eat some chocolate or cut short a workout.

  3. I have recently switched to period underwear and it makes life so much easier! It also much better for the environment!

  4. I snuggle, sleep and snooze, eat lots of iron rich foods, stay away from alcohol, eat chocolate, have a cry, take some painkillers- then have a nap

  5. I like to just try and keep as comfortable as possible. I often have a nice, hot soak in the bath to help me relax too.

  6. I try to make sure I get extra sleep, I use period pants instead which help cramps, and I use a magnesium roller on my tummy! Most of all I try to give myself the kindness and care I’d give to my friends when they were feeling rough! Not always easy but we are all so hard on ourselves, it’s time to give ourselves a break.

  7. I don’t beat myself up about not being able to be as productive as usual, allowing myself to rest, have a hot shower or bath and get lots of sleep – early nights!

  8. just being less demanding of myself – listening to my body and being extra kind to myself – It’s ok for the routine to go out the window for a couple of days and it’s ok to ask my family to help around the house a bit more.

  9. I recently treated myself to some period pants and now regret it taking me so long! They are so much more comfortable than anything else

  10. I have physio to do everyday but I allow myself a day or two off if I have a particularly bad period.

    Then chocolate and lots of carbs to take away the hunger

  11. I try to carry on as normal and only have 1 day each cycle when I suffer so I just eat a lot of chocolate

  12. ive always sworn by having a cupo of lavender tea its amazing and really works to help you relax and get rid of cramps

  13. I keep being active as it makes me feel better. I also make sure I treat myself as I have such a big appetite when on my period xx

  14. I support my daughter by filling a hot water bottle for her, not pressurising her to do stuff and just saying that I understand.

  15. If I’m craving chocolate etc I just let myself have it and not feel guilty as I know the cravings will pass in a few days

  16. I allow myself to nap because most of the time, I am so tired. My husband would also take the kids away from me on the weekends just so I can sleep in
