  3. There are some gifts that made me giggle, but we’re so un-soppy we don’t do Valentines. My children are also forbidden to buy me flowers, (Always forced) for Mothering Sunday too.

    1. I have to admit I mostly see it as a normal day – we might get a takeaway and watch a movie and get each other something we want but that’s about it.

  9. We don’t tend to buy each other gifts for Valentine’s Day, opting to celebrate our wedding anniversary later in the year. However, I do love that these gifts aren’t soppy – with the overthink cushion added to my Mother’s Day wishlist.

  16. I like all of the items you shared, but the tote bag is so practical! Now that New York state has banned single-use bags, a lot of people are going to be needing a tote like that. I already have a few, but I probably need another!

    1. Oh wow, that is incredible they have done that, over here we have to pay for them now so a lot use them, as it’s scary how quickly 10p a go adds up.

  20. I really like alternative gifts for Valentines, instead of the usual stuff I see every year in the shops. I never like the mushy love stuff. The mug is brilliant, and who doesn’t love a mug. Definitely a site I’ll book mark and have a good look at.

  23. I deffo don’t do the soppy valentines – think last year was the film Sexy Beast (which is pretty gruesome in bits) from the charity shop and once watched given back – so The Grindstore is right up my street!
