So if you haven’t realised January is behind us yet, perhaps it is time to remind you that Valentine’s isn’t far away.
Of course, not all of us are soppy and some of us like something just a bit different when it comes to the day of love and roses.

Anyone who knows me well knows I love a good mug, in fact, I often get told off for buying “just one more”. So of course I had to start my Valentine’s gifts at Grindstore run down with one.
So who was I turn down a mug when it arrived on my doorstep.
Now, let’s be honest in my world there is nothing quite like being a bit weird, so this cup suits me down to the ground.
That is alongside the fact that I love a good cup of tea.
Let’s get down to the stats; this ceramic mug holds around 310ml and comes in at 8cm x 9.5cm. It offers a large handle that fits well into the hand and is perfect for your favourite hot drink.
It doesn’t specify if it’s handwash only or not and I have put it through our dishwasher on the top shelf, but of course, if you want to risk that is up to you.

Cut My Food Into Pieces – Chopping Board.
I actually use Grindstore myself and bought a lot of Ash’s Christmas presents from there. However, I myself was not so lucky as no one granted my wish of this chopping board.
That is until Grindstore themselves came to the rescue.
As someone who blasted Papa Roach out, loudly, through my teens, this chopping board made me smile and now has pride of place in the kitchen.
This glass circular chopping board is made of toughened glass, however, it is a handwash only item.
However, if you know someone who likes to chop away to their favourite music it might be the perfect gift.

Stay Weird Tote.
Back to Stay Weird – I should probably explain why I’ve included 2 items from the same range, as it isn’t something I would normally do in a post like this. The mug was sent in replacement for one of my picks which had gone out of stock.
That said I have to admit, I don’t mind getting two items from “Stay Weird”. After all, as I mentioned before, I have a mug addiction and I counted the mug out while trying to be good. It was obviously meant to be.
This tote, however, was a must from the get-go, I always find reusable bags are a must-have in the car, as you never know when you will need one.
The smaller size of this one will hopefully mean I can carry small items myself. For anyone wondering it comes in at (38cm x 42cm).
If your tote gets dirty, don’t worry, just wash at 30 (but don’t tumble dry).

Just Let Overthink It Cushion.
One thing I do a lot is overthink things. Honestly, I can spend hours just wondering if I said the right thing to someone. So when I saw this cushion I have to admit I did crack a smile (well as much as I can).
As my pain gets worse I find myself using cushions more, to help prop myself up and stay as comfortable as possible. So I am always up for adding a new one to my collection.
This lilac cushion comes in at 41cmx41cm and features a cotton cover with polyester fibre filling.

There are some gifts that made me giggle, but we’re so un-soppy we don’t do Valentines. My children are also forbidden to buy me flowers, (Always forced) for Mothering Sunday too.

I really like alternative gifts for Valentines, instead of the usual stuff I see every year in the shops. I never like the mushy love stuff. The mug is brilliant, and who doesn’t love a mug. Definitely a site I’ll book mark and have a good look at.
