  1. I’ve had the winter sniffles for weeks. All of my students are currently sick with colds too. It’s the time of the year for everyone to be sick.

  2. I should have known it was this date, my Dad kindly passed on his cold to me in the office! Drinking honey and lemon as don’t like taking any more medication on top of what I take for my dizzy migraines. Still pleased I had the flu jab!

  3. Because I have to push through some medical issues on a daily basis it is rare that I let a cold stop me from living life. Unless there is a migraine involved. Then you can forget it.

  4. I always find plenty of liquids, especially hot, help me quite a bit. I try and get more sleep and chicken noodle soup makes me feel better. I am not sure if there is anything in it that would account for it or if it is just in my head, LOL.

  5. I like to have a nice hot bath with eucalyptus Epsom salts. I try to get lots of rest and drink as much water as i can.

  6. That is a really interesting fact. Although I think taking preventive measures every day of the year can help cut colds.

  7. When the kids were in school, I always wound up with several colds a year. I have to agree with most other cold sufferers, the congestion is the worst.

  8. Since I am a mom and a wife, when I have a cold, I tend to feel sorry for myself. That’s how I cope. When I am sick, it’s as if no one notices. Sad Face.

  10. I always cut down on the soft drinks and have more water and tea when I have a cold. I’m not sure if the tea really helps but it makes me feel better.

  11. A cold for me is devastating and do anything and everything to avoid it. I have severe RA and it is an autoimmune disease. So for me a cold would end up with a couple of weeks in the hospital. What I try to do is stay indoors which isn’t possible for alot of people. Make sure I wash my hands constantly and eat healthier during this time of the year. I usually end up sick after Christmas and I am hoping to avoid that this year.

  12. I’ve had a cold for weeks! It takes me forever to get rid of them because I don’t have a working immune system. My kids are finally getting over theirs though.

  13. I’ve had several colds this year so far; maybe I’ve paid my dues and won’t get one this month! I normally drink lots of hot tea with honey to help myself when I have a cold!

  14. My mother swears by Olbas Oil. It’s a brand that she uses and one that you can get easily where she lives seeing that it’s a British territory. I don’t think I’ve seen it here where I live.
