The Cartoon Chronicles of Sandwich Bag Dad

Coming from Aussie cartoonist Dave Blumenthal (aka Sandwich Bag Dad), The Cartoon Chronicles of Sandwich Bag Dad takes some of his unique works and stacks them together in a fun, light hearted collection.
Who is Sandwich Bag Dad?
For almost a decade now, Dave has been doodling funny, unique and downright Dad joke drawings on his daughter’s lunch bags.
Of course, it didn’t quite start out how we see it today. Oh no, it all started with a carved shape on a sandwich! Which then switched to drawings on the plastic sandwich bag.
However, it was in 2019, he was asked by his daughter to “go green” and use paper bags in 2019. Making way for the drawings we now know on a brown paper background.
Of course, these days he is not only making his daughters smile when they open their lunches. But also people across the globe, thanks to social media
What’s more, his sandwich bag work has been shown at Australia’s National Cartoon Gallery. Before now being released in a book, to help us all share in a daily funny moment.

Released earlier this year Dave’s book based around his drawings has become a hit!
This 170-page book is filled with around 80 original drawings. Each of which is accompanied by an insight into what made Dave choose to draw the image or the thoughts behind the pun.
Inside the book, you will find a mix of puntastic and humorous takes on life. With all the original pictures having been hand-drawn using pencils and plenty of dad joke humour. The images included have been chosen due to the fact they are firm favourites.
