Team SCA Update
If you missed my first post on Team SCA do click over first and have a read up about them, however in brief they are the first all woman’s team to take on the Volvo Ocean Boat race in over a decade. With a crew hand-picked from over 250 women, from all over the globe to take part in this race.
While none of Team SCA have ever taken part in this race, when it comes to the other teams they are up against have over 79 years of experience between them, which means they are really up against some well sailed off shore sailors. However these women are not new to off shore racing, oh no, in this great show of women power we have sailors who have taken part in a whole host of races including the Olympics, so they really do know what they are doing.
I would love to tell you where they are in the race right now – but I actually have no idea where they might be when this post goes live. However I can tell you they did hold pole position for a while *lets have a woohooo!*, though sadly now they have fallen back a little – but we can but hope they may recapture that first place.
So while we wait to hear what they next update is and just how well Team SCA are doing why not take a look at the latest video update and take just a little peek at some of what they got up to in their gruelling 18 months of training to get, ready to race:
Are you cheering Team SCA on as well?
