StriVectin First Impressions
Up until my 30s, I really ignored my skincare and even now two years on I find getting into a good routine hard. Perhaps due to the fact, I just want to fall into bed with minimum effort come to the end of the day, thanks to how fatigued I feel. However, I have also suffered from spots since I hit puberty, which for me started at 9 or 10 years old, meaning for over 20 years I’ve had bad skin. I am also an ex-smoker, with combination skin and a whole lot of scarring, thanks to both the acne and my own hand. So my skin hasn’t been given an easy ride.
With that in mind whenever someone offers me the chance to try something new I am always up for the challenge and when StriVectin good in touch to ask if I would like to try out there best selling facial skincare products I, of course, answered yes.
StriVectin First Impressions

This post, as you might have realised from the title, is all about introducing you to these three products. I will, in three weeks, then follow it up with a more in-depth review on how I feel they have been working given a longer time to try them.
Created by skin care experts these three products have 35 years of experience behind them and all use StriVectins breakthrough NIA-114.
NIA-114 has been scientifically proven to reinvigorate skin surface, while helping strengthen and nourish the skin.
StriVectin Advanced Resurfacing.
To start of I thought I would introduce you to the Advanced Resurfacing mask. This is a 5 minute, 1 step exfoliating mask. Which is said to help exfoliate for smoother and softer skin, while helping diminishes the look of fine lines and brightening the skin.
Usage is simple, 2 – 3 times a week you want to just apply a generous layer of the light peach paste, leave for 5 minutes and then rinse away with warm water.
First impressions of this mask for me are good, while this uses glycolic acid (perhaps one of the most talked about acids when it comes to skincare) and is fast acting it still seems quite a gentle mask to use on the skin. When it comes to scent it is light and pleasant, though I couldn’t really tell you what the scent reminds me of. For anyone wondering on the other key ingredients, they include; Evening Primrose Oil and of course NIA-114.
StriVectin Advanced Hydration.
The Advanced Hydration is the first of two items in this line up you are going to be using daily (and hopefully twice daily at that). This time you are looking at it containing Hyaluronic Acid, alongside Ceramides and HIA-114.
StriVection Advanced Hydration includes two chambers, which mix together to become one serum when you pump it out. The first chamber includes six unique forms of hyaluronic acid, which are said to help plump the skin, with results that can be both instant and sustained.
After short term use of this serum, my first impressions are good. It uses Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer which is something not everyone likes, it gives the serum it’s silky smooth finish and helps lock in moisture. The issue some people have is that it creates a film over the skin which can of course lock in the bad as well as the good. However if you make sure to wash your face well first and apply to the skin with clean fingers, you shouldn’t have an issue.
StriVectin Advanced Recovery.
This is the second item to be used twice daily and is a light weight milk, which can be used as a serum and is to be applied before moisturiser. I’ve found that if you are going to use the milk and serum together then milk first is the best approach for me. However, it is also suggest that you use the serum in the AM and milk in the PM if you wish to use them at different times.
This time we are looking at the product including Oleic Acid, alongside peptides and NIA-114 as the key ingredients. As with all three of these products everything used is well known and all has long standing support behind it to show it works.
The Advanced Recovery milk comes with an inbuilt dropper to hopefully help you not over use the product (we can hope anyway) and is made to help soothe dry skin while helping restore a more youthful appearance.
I have to admit from first impressions the milk is my favourite out of the three so far, as it is so simple to use. However, I will of course be interested to see how my views change over the coming weeks.
So there you have a little about the three items that make up the Amazing Acids Set, I am looking forward to seeing how the next few weeks play out and of course getting to report back to you on how I found them.
What do you think of the sound of these products from StriVectin? Do any of them in particular catch your eye as something you would like to try?

These products from StriVectin sound great, I may have to try these 🙂
I like the sound of the StriVectin Advanced Resurfacing product as other masks tend to take longer (e.g. 15 minutes or more), so this would be ideal
These look like some great products! I’d love to try these. Thanks for sharing.
Oh these sound great! I didn’t look after my skin very much at all back in the day, I really regret that!
I think I’m going to as well which is a shame, but you live and learn lol.
I like the sound of these and looking forward to reading about how you get on with them. I’m rubbish at keeping up a skincare routine!
It’s so hard sometimes isn’t it – it feels like there is so much more important things to do.
How I wish I could bring back my youthful glow without breaking the bank.
It is hard isn’t it – things can seem to cost so much!
It will be interesting to see the results in a few weeks time. I prefer a serum to a cream as it feels like you get a more intense coverage and they soak into my skin so much better. Looking forward to the next blog post.
I have to admit I LOVE a good serum, but normally pop a cream on top as I’m one of those people lol.
sounds good
I would love to try these. I really appreciate the honest review
I hope you manage to get to try them one day.
These sounds great. I would love to try them. Thanks for sharing.
No problem at all – I hope you get the chance to try the range too.
After a horribly dry and harsh winter, I’m looking to improve my skin’s hydration. I’ll have to see how this brand works compared to the last brand I tried which I’ve just run out of.
I shall definitely be catching everyone up on it 🙂 so keep an eye out 🙂
Oh this sounds interesting. I will have to check this out for myself.
Definitely, do give it a try it is such an interesting range!
I am the same. Sleep is much better than skin routine. But I know it’s not good so I need to change it. Would love to try these products.
I am so glad it isn’t just me who feels this way! I hope you get to try them.
It’s so nice to hear an honest review about skin care products, there are so many out there that sometimes you have no idea what to go for.
It can really be so confusing can’t it! Sometimes you don’t know where to start.
When I turned 30 I started to care a lot more about my skin and a skin routine. I will have to check out these products.
It seems to be quite a common age from comments I’ve had – I thought perhaps I was alone.
I would love to try this product. I’m finding myself taking better care of my skin.
I am terrible at skincare, particularly at night. Good that this is getting you into a routine though
Anything that can help with that is a must haha! I’m awful at having any sort of routine.
They sound like great products although I am like you and would rather just fall into bed than do a proper skincare routine x
I am glad I’m not alone with that feeling haha!
I am so glad you have started taking care of your skin especially with all the problems you had when you were growing up. I guess its never too late. StriVecTin sounds like a good skin care range to care of your skin.
No I don’t think it is ever too late, as they say better late than never!
Aside from sunscreen, I haven’t done much to take care of my skin either. I definitely should get into a better routine as I’m starting to notice things feeling differently as I age. This looks like a great product for me.
It is definitely something that changes all the time isn’t it – you need to be ready for it.
Nothing beat a sincere review.. This seemseems like a great. product
It is definitely interesting, I’m looking forward to trying it for longer.
I have heard of StriVecTin and have heard good things. I am interested to hear your take after using it for a while. I find that I will see good results immediately and then taper off.
It’s nice to be doing it this way as it means people know I really have it a good try with the big gap in between the post! I’m hoping it goes well!
Anything that actually works to reduce fine lines and wrinkles is ok by me. The mask stood out most to me, it may be something I have to try.
So far I am really liking the mask, makes my face a bit red after use so you definitely don’t want to use it just before you head out lol.
The first impressions of Strivectin look promising. What I like is the fact that this looks so convenient to use without undue hassles. Will be looking out for your updates based on your use and results.
It really is simple to use I hate fussy things and I hate masks you have to leave on for hours so 5 minutes is perfect!
Sounds lush
Might try this out
We all need a helping hand to look fab
The mask catches my eye the most. Since I turned 40 I feel my skin has changed, and reducing fine lines would be great!
It is hard when your skin changes as your never quite sure what to do with it all.
I haven’t really paid much attention to skincare, even though I should, my skin is a bit dry and it can flake when I wash it. Thanks for the review!
That sounds like it could be sore! Definitely worth looking into something to help it.
Wow they sound like great products. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these! I’ll have to check them out.
Xo, Sondra
No problem at all I love getting to try new skincare as I know I need to look after it more!
I think its a great product. Heard for the first time. Would like to try it once.
I hope you manage to get to try something from the range ASAP!
I have psoriasis and have used the same product for over 25 years. Making a change would be difficult but this looks really good.
I can imagine it is hard knowing what is best to do for your skin when you have something like psoriasis.
I need all the help I can get
I totally know that feeling!
Sounds like a great product. It’s really great that you found something that works for you. I find that skincare is never a one fits all type thing, so when you find something that works, stick with it!
It is so hard isn’t it – we are all different and something that works amazingly for one person can be awful on another.
Sounds like a great product. One of my best things for my skin is sunscreen
Sunscreen is a must isn’t it – I love a good moisturiser that contains it.
It makes such a big difference when you take care of your skin. I love that this is quick — 5 minutes. You can work it into your routine easily. I will be trying it.
It really is a main thing for me to make sure everything is quick and simple I don’t like things that take a while.
I find that if I don’t take my make-up off first thing in the evening when I get home, I will fall asleep with it on. Which is terrible for your skin. My skin is sensitive so I find I’m nervous about anything that is labeled an acid.
I have quite sensitive skin as well, but of course the same thing doesn’t work for everyone, some acids can be quite harsh as well.
I’m the same way as well, I never really took care of my skin until my 30’s. These products sound like something I would like to give a try.
I hope you really like them if you give them a try. Glad I’m not the only one who waited till their 30s!
Sounds like my kind of skin care! I’ve never tried this brand before and I really appreciate you sharing your experience about it. It does sound like they have great products!
They have such a great range, I can’t wait to see how the rest of the time goes.
This would be great for my wife. Who am I kidding? These would be great for both of us! I am so on the lookout for your more in depth review about these. You can never keep your skin too healthy
Most definitely men need to take care of their skin as well!
sounds like an amazing product. thank you for sharing the info 🙂
From my first impressions, they really are! I really like the mask so far.
This is interesting, I have started getting into skincare and trying to chase the years before they decide to catch up with me lol.
Haha I am the same though I may have left it a little too late whoops!
I had acne when I was young and it made me miserable. I’ve never tried anything like these as my skin care routine is minimal as I have naturally oily skin that keeps it fairly supple and young looking.
It is hard when you have acne isn’t it – I’m not as bad as I used to be *touch wood* but I still get them a lot.
This was awesome to read! I suffer from acne prone skin and my skin was really clear during my teen years but in the past two or three years I’ve developed some acne on my cheeks. Adult puberty I guess – it really never stops does it? I use the CosRx Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer and I definitely find it makes a difference! My scarring has improved quite a bit in just the past month or so of using it. I also really like the Klairs Vitamin C Serum for acne scarring and brightening. It makes my skin feel SUPER moisturized too!
I’d love to try the Strivectin Exfoliating Mask though! I’m always on the look out for a good exfoliator and usually I stick to facial scrubs rather than masks, since chemical exfoliants tend to break me out a lot!
Ohh I might have to try those thank you! I definitely need something to help with the scarring as that is quite bad.
I have used the earlier incarnations of Resurface, and I loved it! StriVectin makes great products that really work.
I’ve had a few people say that to me now and it is awesome to hear!
I am definitely intrigued by the StriVectin line! I have very dry skin and the Advanced Hydration seems to be exactly what I need.
It’s definitely well worth trying if you can 🙂
They sound fantastic if they work, I also suffer with acne, blotchy red skin and scarring from spots, so il be keeping an eye out for your follow up post xxx
I am looking forward to sharing it with you all for sure!
They all sound like amazing products and I love that they’re also good for sensitive skin. I think these would be nice to have.
So far I am really impressed with them, the mask is my favourite followed by the milk I think.
Fascinating. I do like to keep an eye out for new products, and this range is definitely one for the list.
I have to admit I love trying new products and seeing how they work.
I’m not very good at keeping to a skincare routine so I never buy anything as I get a build up of products from Xmas and birthdays. Then again I don’t really have anything wrong with me skin either.
It’s awesome that you are OK like that, if you can keep on ticking over then why not!
I try so hard to keep my skin and face in its best shape. I go to dermatologists very often but my at home treatments could probably be improved with these serums and hydration.
I really need to think about seeing a dermatologist more often with my problem skin!
Glad you started taking care of your skin. Babushka started when she was 30 and now at 55 the wrinkles are still at bay. Curious as to how these products would work on “mature” skin… BB2U
Ohh so I maybe OK I thought perhaps I was a little late in jumping on the train!
I would give these a try. I’m always looking for something that helps my skin out. I am starting to get wrinkles and it can get dry, so I’d love to find something that can help with that.
It is horrid when you get dry skin, mines normally combination / oily but every so often I get such a sore dry patch.
Wish I had taken better care of my skin when I was younger. Know what you mean by just wanting to fall into bed at the end of the day. This skin care routine sounds wonderful and something I would like to try out on my skin.
It is hard isn’t it – it’s like oh I just can’t be bothered with it all!
I would love to try them all and I’m looking forward to another review in a few weeks. I have dry skin and I’ve been searching for the best skincare products.
I hope the next review helps you a little more – it is always hard trying to come up with what is best for your skin!
Sounds like a good product. I like reviews from “real” people as opposed to the company telling me how wonderful it is.
It is hard when all you know is what the company says as well how do you know it is true?
