If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it
A long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists.

  2. My best tip is to always use SPF even in winter it has really helped keep my skin in good condition and acts as buffer between your skin and your make up

  3. I don’t have a strikt skincare routine as such and hardly ever wear any makeup , basicaly just wash and moisturise but always with at least spf30 as I spend a lot of time outdoors. Lipbalm is a must for me if I don’t use it I get cracked lips.

  4. I like to spend some time reading ,It can take you to another world and its lovely to have a bit of me time!
My tip is always remove make- up and it’s never to early to moisturise your skin. It will thank you for it when you are older.

    1. I’m awful for it I have to admit – I need to get better as I’m sure it’s causing my skin to age.

  5. Use a foundation containing spf all year round. Those damaging rays are not only around during the summer!

  6. Apply sun cream to face, neck and hands daily it helps prevent sun damage and reduces look of aging.

  7. In summer, wear a hat with a brim even on overcast days. Long sleeved tops and leggings or jeans are also a good idea to protect your skin.

  8. I always try to drink a lot of water and never go outside without using a BB cream to protect my skin.

  9. Not sure if it helps my skin but I drink a glass of water before bed to stay hydrated until the morning.

  10. Lovely to read your blog such good advice and enjoyed everyone else’s comments, for me I always drink plenty of water to cleanse from within, I use eye products now to protect delicate skin around the eyes and give myself a home facial once a week.

  11. I’m terrible with my skincare but I am learning as I am reading blogs and Instagram posts now. Doesn’t always mean I apply the knowledge but at least it’s there. For example, I would never have known the order to do things. I definitely did not think to apply moisturiser and SPF but then again, I think my SPF face cream is a moisturiser.

So obviously I don’t have many tips but I always think a healthy diet full of fruit and vegetables help. Plenty of sleep and fewer alcohol and no smoking should help too.

  12. I find too much makes me break out but I like to wear SPF in the day and cleanse, tone and moisturise every night

  13. I am now in my 60s but am still prone to shiny skin and the occasional spot. I am also very sun sensitive and have pigmented areas on my face. Trying to find products that are right for me (and don’t cost a fortune) is not an easy job!

  14. I just believe in the basics when it comes to skincare, so for me that involves staying hydrated, eating healthily and trying to get enough sleep each night. In addition, I always remove my makeup and cleanse my skin before bed.

  15. my greatest discovery recently has been micellar water for cleansing, it is amazing, even when you think you have cleaned your skin, use this and it removes even more grime, including waterproof eye make up and long stay lippy. I now also use re-usable pads for my lotions and potions, so they are cotton circle pads that I can wash in the machine, BUT make sure you put them in a little wash bag first because many of mine somehow ended up blocking my drainage pipe in the machine, in their little bag they no longer do that, saves lots of money and saves the planet!

  16. Always take your make-up off before bed, however tired you feel. Follow this with some serum and night cream. And drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your body and skin hydrated.
