Skin Doctors Potent Vit. A and Potent Vit. C Ampoules

Skin Doctors Potent Vit. C Ampoules
Each glass jar contains 50 of the ampules, each of which contains a very concentrated amount of the serum of use day (Vit. C) and night (Vit. A).
To start with the Vit C. Ampoules. These contain a concentration of 10% Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), which helps hydrate the skin as well as delivering antioxidants to help fight against things like free radicals. The long-term effects include the skin feeling firmer and more vibrant. While each dose is there to help boost the production of collagen and elastin while fighting off the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles – all of which are formulated to reduce the signs of ageing.
It is worth noting that these collagen boosting capsules also include Dimethicone Crosspolymer, which is a silicone based ingredient and not something everyone likes in their skincare. It leaves the skin feeling silky smooth, which can, of course, offer a great base for your moisturiser or makeup.
Just twist or snip the ampoule neck to open and then apply by lightly tapping the serum onto the skin once you’ve cleansed your face and neck.
Vit. C Ampoules in Use
Each of the golden ampoules is air tight to help keep the formula as potent as possible. Due to the ingredients, you do find that it tingles a bit at first you use, however it isn’t a bad feeling and it is all to do with that Ascorbic Acid doing its work. It shows that the product is working!
You use this one in the same way as the Vit A ampoules – lightly apply the serum from the ampoule on cleansed face and neck at night.
I personally found it left my skin feeling really soft, probably due to the Dimethicone Crosspolymer and was the perfect base for makeup or more skincare to be put on top of. What’s more, it is completely paraben free!

Skin Doctors Vit. A Ampoules
Moving from day to night, we change from Vitamin C to Vitamin A (retinol). This time the ampoules are blue in colour (no getting them mixed up if your half asleep). This time you are getting a shot of pure Vitamin A retinol for your skin with a 15% concentration level. The Skin Doctors Vitamin A Ampoules use a slow release technology – the patented Microsponge® – to help minimise any irritation to the skin, targeting the signs of ageing like wrinkles and fine lines too. This particular serum is said to work deep in the skin, helping repair skin cells, stimulate new cell growth and increase cell turnover as well as improving uneven skin tone.
Like the Vit. C capsules these also contain Dimethicone Crosspolymer leaving the same silky smooth feeling to your skin that you get with the day capsules. The pot contains 50 ampoules.
Vit. A Ampoules in Use
The capsules themselves are for both almost identical bar the colour. However, unlike the Vit. C capsules I didn’t feel a tingling sensation when applying these (however as it is a retinal product you may find it does cause redness and tingling depending on your skin). Just make sure you don’t use directly on your eyes or on eyelids.
I have to admit I started using these first and hadn’t looked into the ingredients fully and so was surprised by how soft it left my skin feeling. It really is a lovely base to work with and any moisturiser I put on after glided onto the skin.

Final thoughts
I found it so simple to use and making sure you use the correct amount is simple thanks to the use of single shot ampoules. They are said to be best used straight after cleansing the skin, onto dry skin, application is best done by lightly tapping the skin. However please be aware the Vit A. capsules do need to be kept away from the eye area.
Overall I am really impressed with both of the Potent Vit. range. They definitely work best when used at the time same and seem to include ingredients that work, with my skin.

They are definitely easy, it’s a single “use” so just break it open and slap it on – no waste!

You basically just pull the top of the capsule off and apply as you would any other serums, it’s a serum in single-use capsules 🙂

I always had skin issues on my hands. I am now taking some skin, hair and nails pills. I will have to take for more days to see some results. I do like how those products sounds, so I do consider using them.
