Simba Cooling Body Pillow Review

I’ve long wondered if a body pillow would be useful to help my posture as I sleep, so when Simba got in touch and asked if I would like to review something from their range it seemed like a good time to give it a try.
Simba
Simba originally supplied thread to manufacturers for mattresses across the world from their Derbyshire factory. However, in 2002 the idea grew that they could try and use their thread to create their own mattress line.
They found that the leap into a new product was a huge success but they wanted to take it further. Making sure their mattresses helped provide the best night’s sleep by being both high-tech and affordable.
Utilising three experts in their field Simba built a mattress that uses cutting-edge design, foam and springs which have been tried, tested and changed to make it into a brand that boasts over 250,000 5-star reviews, 60 industry awards and is slept on by over 1 million people.
Having only bought a new mattress last year I didn’t feel it was the right time for me to be testing a new one. However, the body pillow seemed like an interesting try especially as I had wondered about buying one previously.
Simba Cooling Body Pillow
Designed with side sleepers in mind this body pillow has been designed to help with comfortable hip and spinal alignment. It can also be used as back support while sitting up and support when nursing babies.
The pillow has been made with Simba Renew Bio™ fill and comes with a washable, cotton cover with Stratos® cool-touch tech. When it comes to sizing it is around 120 x 35 cm in size.
Designed to be in a gentle curved shape the pillow has been made to ensure comfortable alignment of the body while you sleep on your side. Helping to relieve pressure on the shoulder and hips.
Simba says the correct way to use the pillow is to; “hug the pillow with your arms and arrange your legs around the bottom; one leg should be on top, knee slightly bent, the other will be underneath and a little straighter.”
Inside the pillow you will find Simba Renew Bio™ fill, which has been made with recycled PET bottle fibres gently combed into soft, airy clusters, providing cloud-like cushioning. The pillowcase utilises Stratos® temperature control which makes it cool to the touch.
My Thoughts on the Simba Body Pillow
I have hypermobility and have long slept with my arms wrapped around something to stop my shoulders slumping into each other as I sleep and have thought about doing similar with my legs. This body cushion allows me to solve both of those issues with one pillow keeping both my shoulders and hips in better alignment as I sleep.
That said it is going to take some getting used to, as does any change, but I think it could help in the long run to have better posture as I sleep.
The cool touch to the pillowcase is strange to feel in the winter. However it doesn’t stay cold, it’s a first-touch feeling, sort of like when you turn the pillow to the cold side. I think it will probably be more of a benefit come summer.
My main worry about the pillow is how I get the cover back on after washing it – but I shall deal with that hurdle when I come across it.
Overall I am pleased with the Simba Cooling Body Pillow, it does help me lay better in bed and has been well thought through and designed.

My favourite item is the Extra Comfort Hybrid Mattress Topper because i need the extra support for my back.
I love the look of this and the Stratos® pillow, anything that supports the body, cools and helps with sleep sounds good to me!
The Simba Mattress would be super for my back – I may invest in one when I can as my bed is 24 years old now!
I need a new mattress so one of their Hybrid range would be my pick.
I would like to try a Simba mattress, I hear they help to get a really good nights sleep, and who doesn’t want one of those!
I would love the cooling body pillow as I have been wanting to try one of these for awhile. Like you I have Chronic Health Conditions, on top of Spinal Injury (Neurological disorder). I would love to try the Simba Hybrid Luxe Mattress. (If they did it, I would choose an adjustable bed). I struggle at night with increased pain and I can only lie on one side. The pillow would offer a great deal of support and hopefully I would sleep better and have less pain. That’s why I would love the Mattress, as I think the mattress would offer a lot of support and comfort. Ultimately I would be in less pain, so therefore I would sleep better.
This might just sort my back out
I like to try the cooling pill ow as I get boiling every night in bed
The Cooling Body Pillow sounds great as I’m a side sleeper and could use some back support.
My favourite is the cooling body pillow because I sometimes get hip pain at night, and I think this could help.
I’d love to try the Simba Hybrid Pro Mattress as i could do with a mattress with good support but also the cooling feature for a better sleep would help great in the summer 🙂
Much as I’d love to own a Simba Hybrid Ultra Mattress, because even the name suggests a perfect sleep, I think I’d love the cooling body pillow. I’m a side sleeper, with severe osteoarthritis in my hips and spinal scoliosis. This sounds great to help support my poor bones, and also help with the hot sweats I get every night too!

I love the sound of the Hybrid pillow….the fact that it can be adjusted to your preferred height and softness sounds ingenious.
