Great Gift Ideas from Xander Kostroma

Crafting jewellery using semi-precious stones, wood, and rattan, Xander meticulously finishes each piece with either 925 sterling silver or 14k gold-plated components. He also makes sure all pieces are nickel-free due to being allergic himself.

Launched in 2018 and bearing his name, the brand has rapidly expanded to grace the shelves of 470 boutiques globally. Additionally, it has found a home in prominent online retailers such as Look Again, Freemans and Not on the High Street.

Embodying the belief that “anything in your life is possible,” Xander leads a small yet diverse team scattered across the globe—from Lisbon and China to the UK. The brand now extends beyond jewellery, encompassing lifestyle products and a curated fashion range.

While I have previously bought from Xander Kostroma he was kind enough to send me some more items to share with you.

Gold Tone Lapis Lazuli Chunky Hoop Drop Earrings

I love Lapis Lazuli, it is such a beautiful stone, with its deep blue colour accentuated by flecks of gold tones. These particular hoops have been handmade in-house by talented jewellery makers, using high-quality Lapis Lazuli, which is then hand-finished and hung on a 14K gold-plated hoop.

The Lapis Lazuli has been polished and gives a wonderful sheen to the design. It was known as the “Sky Stone” in ancient Egypt often found in their jewellery pieces. It is also associated with the 6th chakra or third eye, which is thought to enhance mental clarity, inner vision and wisdom, it is also said to help enhance the feeling of self-acceptance.

The earrings have been beautifully crafted and work wonderfully for everyday wear or a special piece on special occasions. The hoops open easily and are closed by slipping a thinner wire into the larger tube, which keeps them safely on during use.

Cashmere Blue Skull Print Cotton Shopper Tote Bag by Xander Kostroma

This skull design is a huge part of the Xander Kostroma brand. You will find it used as part of his logo, as jewellery holders, stickers, wrapping and more. So it is perhaps of little surprise that it was turned into a pattern on tote bags.

Designed by Xander at his studio in Portugal, the bag is made from 100% cotton canvas. Size wise it comes in at 38cm by 25cm and hangs on 60cm straps which are branded with the Xander Kostroma name.

Offering in a range of 5 colours the Skull Tote Bags are £15 and offer the perfect reusable bag for all year.

Raw Amethyst Crystal Window Suncatcher

One of my favourite things Xander makes has to be his range of suncatchers, I already have one and it was amazing to add another to my collection. This raw Amethyst design is just stunning and has been handmade using raw Amethyst crystals which hang on a 925 sterling silver chain.

Xander suggests hanging your suncatcher in a north-facing window which will allow it to catch natural sunlight without it being too direct. Allowing it to add a nice resonance around the room with the prism bouncing light around the room.

Amethyst is seen as a soothing crystal which can help relieve stress and strain on the body and soothe irritability. While some also say it helps anxiety.

Overall Thoughts on Xander Kostroma

Personally, I really love Xander Kostroma’s pieces. I feel you can see that he loves his creations and chooses only the best quality items. He makes items he would love to have in his home and this comes across in his care and dedication to the brand and items.

Each item is beautifully crafted with care and this comes across, meaning it is a brand to both treat yourself to and treat others to.
