  1. I didnt know you could do this. I remember some program where you earned from clocks and now the name slips my mind. I would love to make money without the blog and this is quite helpful.

  2. I would love to find out how you best communicate with companies asking for links or sponsored posts etc. I find they can be little demanding/rude and would love to know how you tackle this! Would like to start a blog myself but worried about the first few steps but your blogs are great and I love it 🙂

    1. To be honest I don’t really approach companies myself, unless I have seen a shout out from them via social media. On the whole I wait for people to come to me and while some really are quite rude and will say anything to bring your price down you do grow a thicker skin against it and learn to roll your eyes as they will be saying the same thing to everyone else just to try and get a cheap deal.

    1. They are worth looking into – even if you only earn a few pennies its a little more income in the long run.

  13. I love that more companies are seeing the power of affiliate marketing and getting on board with their own program. I use affiliate links on my blog, but often forget to branch out.

  14. I am not familiar with affiliate programs as I haven’t started using them for my blog yet. It’s good to know that you can actually promote them and make an income even if you don’t have a blog. I think that youtube can be a great way of promoting links while having fun recording.

    1. Good luck if you do start working with affiliates 🙂 they can be hard to get your head around at first, but really are quite simple.

  20. I always thought you’d need a blog if you want to grow your Pinterest or join Affiliate programs. That’s good news! I would rather go this route because I am still not that adept at making videos.

  23. This is something new I learned today. I’ve been wanting to dip my feet in the affiliate program business but I don’t know how to start and if it would fit my blog niche. Thanks for the info on other ways to promote affiliate programs.

  24. It is true you don’t need a blog to do affiliate schemes but I think a blog is one of the most effective ways. A review video is a good shout though x

    1. I do think it is definitely the most effective as well, but it’s well worth trying without too!

  25. I don’t know much about affiliate links, but choosing products that you have tested seems like a great starting off point! Seems that’s the best way to generate interest for just about everything.

  26. Choosing products you stand behind is so important for affiliate marketing. I wouldn’t want to buy something that someone hadn’t even used.

  29. I promote most of my affiliates on Facebook. It seems to be the place most people are and it is so easy to click from. It works pretty well for me, especially with the new add product feature on videos.

    1. Facebook is a great place, especially if you find a group of people after what you are sharing.

  32. Affiliate programs has not been something I have done. I really want to read blogs that say something else and not about some products a company wants promoted. I see this more and more.

    1. Thing is you don’t need to use them in that sense, I often use them when it comes to say Etsy where I buy a lot of things then include them in my Lately I’m Loving posts, no one’s asked me to include them, in fact I turn down companies who ask me to just join their affiliate programmes as I have no idea of the product and use them only for products I know and love.
