Pocketed Swimwear Lagos Full Bodice Swimsuit: Review
You know what beach body ready means? It means getting ready for the day and taking your body; whatever shape or size it maybe, down to the beach and having a good day. It is a sad fact that there is way to much body shaming these days, of people of all different sizes, we seem to have forgotten we are all different and it doesn’t matter what the outside looks like we should all be allowed to go out and enjoy ourselves.
A brand that is openly embracing that fact is Amoena. Now you might be wondering what does it mean by pocketed swimwear? Well in this case the name the name is giving away something extra special about this swimwear.
Amoena are a stylish, well made, fashion conscious brand that comes in a whole host of different sizes, both via clothing sizes and bra sizing allowing you to hopefully find the perfect fit. However, this costume from Amoena holds a secret, it is also made for those who have had a mastectomy and that is why it is pocketed.
Let’s for instance take this beautiful Lagos Full Bodice swimsuit, the bust is shaped and to either side there is an open pocket, which allows those who need to, to place a partial shaper or swim form into the bust area and have it held securely in place.
The cups themselves are made with a super soft material, making for an extremely comfortable costume. Honestly it can’t just be me who finds that the hardest part to find in a swimsuit is a good shape and feel in the bust area.
This particular swimsuit, when it comes to looks gives off the effect of suede, thanks to the twilight blue colouring, while a contrasting red is used for the seaming. However, perhaps my favourite part is the beautiful detailing around the necklace, which uses a mix of beads and stitching to give this wonderful finish you can see.
The Lagos Full Bodice Swimsuit is at the moment on sale for just £37.80 (originally £63), which no matter why you are looking for a swimsuit, I think is an utter bargain for such a comfortable, well made suit. Pretty one piece swimsuit! I’ve never been comfortable in bikinis even when I was young. I love the design of this Lagos full bodice swimsuit. I love that it is in blue (one of my favorite colors)!
I’m the same with bikinis though I had a tankini I adored as it met in the middle and had shorts 😉 lol

How great that these swimsuits are made for people with masectomies. I don’t think there are many swimwear options for people who have had masectomies.

I love it! It has a bohemian feel to it with the colorful beads and threads. I didn’t get a chance to go swimming this summer, but I hope to next summer! I’d love to have a swimsuit beautiful as this one. 🙂
