Life in a Lockdown #17
Welcome back to week 17 of Life in a Lockdown!
Masks are now mandatory in shops (it has taken a long time for that to come in), also 14 days quarantine, if you are coming back from Spain, has been bought back in.
There has been a breakout of covid in one of the nearby towns. They have been doing lots of testing, however living in a village, of course, a lot of people commute to the towns.
I’m trying to be positive, we are still staying in as much as possible so we will be OK!
I have to kick off this post with saying thank you to Bex at Futures for coming on this journey of lockdown remembrance each week and of course Jenni at Lyrical Host (affiliate link) for kickstarting the idea!
If you would like to take part I promise it is simple:
We do ask that you give both Bex and I a link back in your post, with how you find the link-up! You will be able to copy all the questions from below to answer in your own world.
Then all you need to do is pop back to mine or Bex’s post and pop your link in the inlinkz so we can come and read your post.
1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?
3) How are you dealing with everything at the moment – are you self-isolated, going out for essentials etc? Has this changed?
4) What advice do you have for others?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
6) How has your routine been this week?
7) Have you planned anything for once lockdown is over in the past 7 days?
8) Anything else?

So what did week 17 hold:
1) How are you feeling/coping?
The last week has been OK. I’m starting my journey with DBT for my BPD and I find therapy absolutely exhausting. I have 12 group sessions and 4 one-2-one sessions.
I know I need to put my all into these sessions as this could really help me, as much as I want to throw my arms up and quit straight off the bat.
For anyone wondering how they are doing this during a pandemic, it’s all done over Microsoft office. I think this helps me as I don’t have to actually be in a room with outs I can do the sessions from my sofa.
We saw a neighbour for the first time since the early months of the year and spent some time playing with her dog. It was nice to see them!
2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?
TikTok and Once Upon a Time.
We did do the Pokemon Go Fest over the weekend, seeing as we could do it from home.
Ash finished his dentist treatment and apparently feels so much better for it, which is good.
We found that prior to Friday a lot of people weren’t wearing masks, which I think was a shame, after all there’s nothing wrong with keeping others safe before it is made mandatory. I’ve been wearing mine to try and get used to it, I find it very claustrophobic and it makes me overheat so I’ve been wearing one to try and get used to it. Plus my breathing isn’t the best when I have anxiety – ah fun!
3) How are you dealing with everything at the moment – are you self-isolated, going out for essentials etc? Has this changed?
We are going out if we have to. So for Ash’s dentist treatment and that’s about it.
We have also met a few people outside in the garden at distance. All of whom have been part of very careful households too. As we realise that we are still high risk.
4) What advice do you have for others?
Follow what you feel is right. We all have different situations going on and what you do will be different from someone else.
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
I am in love with this affirmation dice from Crafty Ks. It came via a Facebook market place night again and I believe it cost £11 including postage.

I do try and remind myself of something good each day and I love that this dice helps with that.
6) How has your routine been this week?
It’s been OK I feel like I’m sort of daydreaming / drifting through the days at the moment though.
7) Have you planned anything for once lockdown is over this week?
We did look at some places to go away to. However, this would likely be 18+ months from now. As I don’t think either of us can imagine going away anytime soon.
8) Anything else.

Just as we thought things were picking up a little there’s now another lockdown In Yorkshire where I live . Lots of people out there not sticking to the rules . I don’t think much of how our government have handled this pandemic
Oh gosh, I am so sorry – I think this might happen around here at some point as well.
