A Flexible Career in Beauty to Fit Around Your Life
We’ve all been there the catch 22 situation – we need to work hard to earn money, but the truth of the matter is that we would also love the flexibility to spend more time on ourselves, with our partners, kids or friends.
In short we would all love the opportunity to work less, earn more, be our own bosses and on top of that actually enjoy our jobs!
It sounds good – doesn’t it?
Well it can be done! Remember how much you love beauty?
If keeping up to date on the latest fashions, styles and makeover trends sounds right up your alley then becoming a Beauty Therapist could be the answer!
A Career in Beauty Therapy? Really?
Yes!
The Beauty Industry is growing, with experts (HABIA) predicting that by 2020 the market will increase by 23%.
Currently the industry is worth a whopping £17 billion to the UK economy and it just keeps growing. Furthermore, in uncertain times within the UK economy, in the two days post-brexit Treatwell reports sales up 40% on last year.
The beauty industry was also seemingly unaffected by the recession in 2008 – showing the stability of the industry; after all people will always want to treat themselves and loved ones.
What’s more is that a career in beauty can be as flexible as you are – full and part-time working within the beauty sector is common so, it is easy to find work to suit you. If you’d rather, you can even become self-employed as a Beauty Therapist and work either from home, or become mobile.
It really is a career which has something to offer for everyone! The job is as flexible as you make it, making it the perfect choice for those of us who want the option to fit work around other commitments.
Further opportunities are available for Beauty Therapists to work abroad or on cruise ships. You could even embrace the glamorous side of this beautiful industry and pursue opportunities on television or film sets!

I always think skills like these are useful to have as they’re a trade you can fall back on though most of your life. My friend was a hairdresser when she first started out and moved onto a career in the city but when times got tough it was always easy to fall back on her hairdressing skills.
Having a career in the beauty industry is ideal, especially if you’re skilful as a beauty therapist or a hairdresser because they’re skills you can always utilise throughout your life and go back to after maternity, etc xxx
The Training Rooms sounds fantastic. I love how flexible a career in beauty can be, especially if you are juggling family and other commitments! 🙂
