A Dream Nights Sleep with FUÜM Mattress: Review
When we moved into the bungalow we threw out our old mattress and got a new one, so when I was contacted by FUÜM Mattress’ a while back to see if we would like to review a new one, we didn’t see the need. However, in a passing conversation with our neighbour, he said he could do with a new one. So after asking FUÜM if it would be OK if someone else helped to review the mattress, they very kindly agreed.
I’ve spoken about my neighbours before on the blog. However, for anyone who isn’t aware, they are a retired couple, one of whom has quite high pain levels due to many different ailments. Much like it is for myself and Ash a good nights sleep is everything.
It is probably worth noting at this point, that while I speak about our neighbours, it is actually only home to one of them, as they both have their own bungalows, with one coming to stay as and when. I say this because otherwise, the conversation I had with the lady of next door would make no sense. She, at home, has a special orthopaedic mattress and suffered quite badly when staying next door, due to the lack of support the previous mattress offered.
With this in mind, I don’t think any of us were quite such what would happen when the FUÜM Mattress was actually used; would it help her? Would it offer them both a comfortable nights sleep? Only getting it on the bed and them sleeping on it would tell.
What makes FUÜM Mattresses different?
FUÜM Mattresses are uniquely made. At the base, you will find an ultra-resilient foam base layer, while yes this is a high-density foam, it also contours to your body as you sleep, no matter what position you find most comfortable. Above this is an airflow gel layer, which is built in to help keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Next is a layer of memory foam, which is medium firm, this is going to keep you well supported and relieve pressure points. The top layer is a micro-quilted intelligent fibre, with its 3D cross-structure layer, it helps create an airspace between you the memory foam.
What did the neighbours think of their FUÜM Mattress?
After we had got the FUÜM Mattress onto the bed and unwrapped, we left the lovely people next door to it, allowing them to remake their bed and await it being ready to use. According to the FUÜM Mattress website, you can actually use it straight away. However, we did suggest leaving it for a while to let it expand as much as possible.
The next morning I woke up to a box of chocolates, bunch of flowers and a letter having been left on the back porch. Apparently, both had the best nights sleep they had been afforded in a long time, in fact, the lady of next door said hers was even better than at home and she would very much like one for herself.
Of course over the coming weeks, we checked back in with them both to see how they were feeling and both seemed to have nothing but praise for the FUÜM Mattress. So from this small neck of the woods, it gets a huge thumbs up for offering a great nights sleep. Now apparently just one more is needed for the lady’s house.

It is wise to invest on good mattress, because it affects our health while sleeping. This one seems a good mattress!
I like the sound of this mattress especially the gel layer to keep you cool in the summer or all year round in my case.
I have trouble falling asleep on most nights and it takes me at least an hour or so to fall asleep. I tried a few remedies like keep the room cool, read a novel, put on relaxing music, but I am still taking a long time to fall asleep. I think that it’s time that I give a new mattress a try.
We need a new mattress really bad! I am going to have to look into this one a little bit more!
Well, it sounds brilliant. A good nights sleep is so important, and when you suffer from any sort of pain that can be a problem. This sounds like a good solution.

Wow I really like the sound of this. I suffer badly with poor sleep and now I would try anything to aid it. My husband also has bad shoulders and finds our mattresses makes it worse. We will be having a look later to see what they offer x

That is great that you helped out your neighbors but I’m confused by your second paragraph talking about only one being there and two bungalows. I think there is a typo or something that is making me confused.

They don’t live together, they each have their own home :). They got together later in life and were settled in their separate homes so that’s how they decided to stay.
I love that the lady next door was able to get a good night’s rest on the mattress. My mattress is getting older and I’ll be looking for a new one soon, so this is a big help.
I know I was so worried it wouldn’t help as she obviously has a special one at her own home.
I love the different layers of the mattress. It definitely will provide both comfort and support. If we are ever going to need a new mattress, we’d seriously consider Fuum mattress.

Having the right mattress is so important to a good nights sleep. I like a firmer mattress while my other half likes a soft one so when we get a new one we’ll need to compromise in the middle x

ohhh … I’m defiantly intrigued by the FUÜM Mattress … especially the airflow gel layer. My husband is like an oven, and I’m thinking that layer would help allow with him overheating.

It really makes a difference having the air flow layers I have found as it means you don’t over heat like some of the older foam mattresses made you.
The FUÜM Mattress sounds like something I really need. I have some troubles in sleeping, I always end up sleeping at 3 or 4AM and it’s not good.

I’ve never heard of Fuum mattresses before. We recently bought a new mattress and OMG what a difference it makes. It’s like sleeping on a cloud. Super comfy. Looks like your Fuum mattress is pretty comfortable as well.
