  1. Those jeans and sandals look super comfy. I am plus size and have never looked at cotton traders before I tend to stick to yours

    1. Yours is so comfy isn’t it – Cotton Traders doesn’t have such a range of sizes it stops around 22 – 24 which is a shame.

  2. I find Cotton Traders jeans are good quality and hard wearing – great wardrobe staples.

  3. The kimono looks like the perfect cover-up – both for cooler days and for protecting my sun-sensitive skin.

    1. It really has that feeling where it could come in so useful at different times doesn’t it!

  4. I like Cotton Traders and the Pattern Park collection doesn’t disappoint, I particularly like the Lucy Lace Trim Short Sleeve Jersey Top, perfect for summer days

    1. It is a lovely top for a summer day isn’t it, they have everything you might need for a cooling top going on.

  5. For some reason, this blog is being promoted as one of the best blogs about living with chronic illness. Has the focus of the blog changed to promoting stuff for kickbacks?

“Are you looking for __?” “Are you looking for __?” “Are you looking for __?”

Nothing wrong with using your blog this way, if that’s what you want, but probably shouldn’t be promoting it as having content other than product promotions.

    1. My blog has always been a mix of topics and I’ve never tried to portray it as anything else I’ve always said it is “lifestyle”. I tried once upon a time to niche myself down a bit more but it just doesn’t work as I don’t cope with writing on the same topics all the time. I’m going through a bad time with my health right now and I haven’t fully worked out what’s going on – it’s hard to write about how to cope with things when you aren’t coping when you don’t know what is going on. It also means I’ve prioritised paid work to make sure my bills are paid as it’s either one or the other.

If you only want to view health topics you can easily access them via my drop-down menu. Recently I hosted a post from another blogger on sense-hacking which is a great insight into mindfulness techniques, I’ve got a list of mental health websites for youngsters, ways to manage life with mobility and mental health issues which have all been posted in the past few months.

My health also means I couldn’t work until I started blogging and people wanted to pay me to do this, blogging allowed me to come off of ESA and pay my own way in the world, this is something I have been very open about this – see posts such as “How Blogging Saved My Life”. So yes I do blog about my physical health and mental health issues, but I also cover many other topics which I have always been open and honest about and have always allowed readers to access the content they are after by using my drop-down menu. I’m sorry this blog was a let down to you and not what you were expecting, if you want to let me know where you saw the recommendation I am happy to contact them and ask they perhaps look at changing that if they agree I don’t fit the criteria.

  6. I think everyone is a fan of the kimono here. It definitely shouts Spring and because it is so light, it makes it a great holiday piece too

    1. It is so pretty isn’t it – I love that it is so bright and colourful and perfect for the warmer season coming up.

    1. I thought the pattern needed to just stand out all on its own, so tried to put more natural things around it.

  7. I buy quite a lot from Cotton Traders. Great quality pieces at a reasonable price. Also great for men’s clothing too. I love the kimono

    1. They do some really lovely things don’t they – I was at a garden centre who stock them the other day so I had a nose around too.
