Christmas at the Musicroom
Music has always been a big part of my life, before I could talk my Mum took me to babies singing sessions and as I got older I learnt to play a few instruments including the violin and guitar, sadly when I became ill in my teens I gave up playing the violin and I wonder these days if I would even remember much about how to play one.
Looking back I remember the excitement of picking out my own instrument, the guitar was an easier pick as we just visited a store in Oxford, but the violin took us a long time. In the end we visited a restorer and ended up purchasing one from him as he let us try and browser through his wonderful work, offering honest advice on what would be best for a novice like me. It’s odd to think that online shopping for them wouldn’t have been an option we even thought of; how quickly technology has progressed.
If you are looking to treat a friend or family member to something musical this year, then the Musicroom have such a fun way to try and match you to the perfect gift in the form of the gift amp. This clever gift finder is made so you turn the dials to set the category / instrument and price range you are looking for then you just need to hit ‘play’ for it to pop up with all manner of great gift ideas.
One of the great things about the Musicroom is the huge choice of music related items they have on offer, you can find yourself browsing through 100’s of different sheets of music one moment, only to be looking at instruments the next. Of course it isn’t just for those who play, the have a range of headphones for those who love to listen as well as small gift ideas such as toilet paper covered in musical notes, musical bottle openers and jewellery to name just a few things for those lovers of listening to music.
I know I’ll be twisting the dials and hoping to come up with some good ideas for certain people.
What do you think of the sounds of the Musicroom’s amp gift finder, is it something that could be useful this Christmas for you?
