BarkBeats: a Sally review
I thought it would be a good way to see the year out by ending it with a Sally review, to be honest 2014 has been a bit of a rubbish year for me and thankfully friends, family and the animals have seen me through it, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for a great 2015 for us all!
Anyway back on track – Sally was recently sent a BarkBeats box to try out; this is a new to the UK monthly subscription box for dogs. While they are new to the UK they have been operating in Madrid for a while now and are well up on what pampered pooches might like to receive. Subscriptions to BarkBeats are paid on the 1st of the month; however there is no contract so you just need to give them a shout if you want to cancel before the first of the month rolls around.
So what was in the box?
Gingerbread Man – Cookie Treat
First up is a tasty looking treat and one that is very Christmassy, hand baked and decorated, this treat went down well.. a treat with Sally when she found it.
Pet Munches Treats
Oh yes more treats, what a spoilt pooch Sally is, these ones are perfect for when she has been a good girl (or when she thinks she has been a good girl). Made from natural ingredients and with no added sugar they are made from real roasted meat.
Farm Food Trainers
These have to be one of Sally’s favourite items in the box; in fact these beef treats had her up to all sorts trying to get her paws on them. At one point I popped the empty BarkBeats box on top of another box which was on a chair, as I was sorting it all out and naughty Miss Sal got hold of the bottom box and tugged it so the BarkBeats one fell down and then proceeded to try and get into it! She was very disappointed when we showed her it was in fact empty and off she went to try and find out where they were hidden.
Kong Squeeze Jels
Many moons ago when I first had Sal, she was scared of squeaky toys. Thankfully those days are long over and the louder it squeaks the more she loves it. Personally I love a Kong toy as I know they are well made and durable, so it was really nice to see one included in this box.
Christmas Reindeer
It wouldn’t be a December box without a nod to the festive season and this plush squeaky reindeer does it with style. This toy contains a special squeaker which still squeaks even after multiple punctures (great for your pooch – but perhaps bad on your ears).
Sally loved this box, the beef treats were most definitely her favourite part along with the toys and I felt like she got a really special treat with each thing.
The BarkBeat box of course contains different items every month; but will always feature 5 – 6 products and costs £14.90 for a monthly rolling subscription (you also sign up with the size of your dog – small, medium or large so as to get the right sort of products). To find out more please visit the BarkBeats website.
What do you think of this monthly box for dogs?
