ARRAN – After The Rain Shea Body Butter Review

I am back again with another wonderful product from ARRAN Sense of Scotland. I have featured this brand before on my blog and they are definitely a favourite.
Previously I have been really impressed with both when it comes to their products and their ethos. So when they got in touch about a new addition to their signature After The Rain range, I couldn’t wait to try it out.
Who is ARRAN Sense of Scotland?
This is a brand you may have seen when you visit hotels originally under the name ARRAN Aromatics. However, in 2016 they took the step to rebrand as ARRAN Sense of Scotland.
Their products are inspired by nature, especially that found on the Isle of Arran. Their products are made with a fragrance first approach. Meaning they want their products to captivate the imagination and take you away with their scent.
With over 3 decades of fragrance filled history behind them, it is no wonder they are producing incredible home and body products for all.
After The Rain Shea Body Butter
ARRAN’s signature scent is the wonderful “After the Rain”. This scent mixes; lime, rose and sandalwood to help capture the scent of an Isle of Arran garden after a rainstorm.
As such the After the Rain range is one that is always being added to, with the most recent addition a shea body butter, released at the beginning of the month.
This body butter is said to be an indulgent cream that can be used from top to toe. It has been in development for three years, helping to perfect the nourishing and hydrating formula.
Within this body butter, you will find extracts of lichen, peat moss & fern, which come together to offer a rejuvenating and moisture-boosting experience, allowing for long-lasting hydration which will soften and comfort the skin.
This cream is also full of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals and works well on even dry skin.
My Thoughts on the After The Rain Body Butter
I personally found that the After The Rain Body Butters offers a rich, luxurious cream. That means a little goes a long way. It is also quickly absorbed into the skin and doesn’t leave a greasy or tacky feel.
The scent itself is a wonderful mix, from the rose petals to the zest of lime and woody sandalwood, it is no surprise that After The Rain is ARRAN’s signature fragrance.
In use, I found that I only needed a small amount to feel like I was getting both good coverage and a hydration boost to my skin. It leaves the skin lightly scented after use and I am sure could be layered with other products from the After The Rain range.
You can really tell a lot of thought and time has gone into the creation of this butter.
I would definitely say this is a product I would rebuy, as well as think about buying it as a gift.
For those wondering all of ARRAN Sense’s products are cruelty-free. However, some do have beeswax and honey extract as an ingredient.

It is the perfect item to add to a birthday list, it really is an indulgent treat but so worth it with how buttery soft and moisturising it is.

They do just amazing products and this is their best selling fragrance, I can understand why as it is a unique scent I’m awful at describing but sort of zesty and fresh.
