Arran Sense Of Scotland – Review
I love getting to try out new brands, there is always something exciting about it.
Of course, that comes alongside a feeling of worry. What if I don’t like it? What if it doesn’t work for me?
However, that was a fear not worth thinking about when it came to Arran Sense of Scotland.
Who are Arran Sense of Scotland?
This brand is proudly made in Scotland, where it was created over 30 years ago on the Isle of Arran. They originally went by the name Arran Aromatics, rebranding in 2016.
When it comes to ideas for their bath, body and soap products, they take inspiration from the beautiful scenery of both Arran and Scotland. After all, what a beautiful place to live and work.
All of the items they create are cruelty-free and bar anything which contains honey or beeswax has been made without the use of animal ingredients.
Originally founded by Janet and Iain Russell, who started off making soaps and body creams in their kitchen. They have grown to be a luxury brand, which is much loved both in Scotland, as well as around the world.
About the Range.
One of the most loved scents from Arran Sense of Scotland is the After the Rain collection. This range, of course, takes its inspiration from an Arran garden and the scent of it just after a rainfall.
It uses ingredients such as lime, rose and sandalwood, which all come together to offer this beautiful fresh fragrance.
Which works beautifully both as a body product and home fragrance.
Personally I can easily see why it is one of their much-loved fragrances. After the Rain, is quite an evocative scent that really does work well, both as a personal fragrance and home fragrance.
The After the Rain discovery set is a wonderful starting place for this fragrance (and perfect to pop in a travel bag if you are headed away).
Other fragrances included within the incredible package I was sent included Seaweed & Sage, Grapefruit & Shea Butter and Winter Forest.
Arran Sense of Scotland – Personal Care Items.
When it comes to body care items Arran Sense of Scotland have a whole host for you to choose from.
Right now hand washes are a must, so something that caught my eye was the range of 5l refill bottles. After all, it is wonderful to do anything you can for the environment.
Available at the moment in 3 of their handwash scents including the fantastic Seaweed & Sage, which is made to be both cleansing and moisturising.
You will also find the same scents in hand cream. Meaning you can boost your handcare, each time you wash.
Alongside these, you will also find items such as; hand gels, body lotion, soaps, shower gel, hair care, bath salts & scrubs and perfume. So once you find a fragrance you love, you can easily layer it using all sorts of products, making for a deeper, longer-lasting scent.
Arran Sense of Scotland – Home Fragrance.
It is no secret that I love home fragrance. So I was excited to try out the candle and reed diffuser from Arran Sense of Scotland.
Something that is a must for me when it comes to home fragrance is the throw. Both with candles and reed diffusers as I just want to enjoy the fragrances.
I am pleased to say both were incredible. Neither was overpowering, in fact, they offered a relaxing, enjoyable fragrance. Which was a pleasure to be around filling the room, without becoming too much.
Overall Thoughts on Arran Sense of Scotland.
Honestly, I am impressed with everything I tried from Arran Sense of Scotland.
I believe they will become not only a brand I buy myself but a brand I look to make up gifts from in the future.
So it offers no surprise that they are used by luxury hotels.

Sounds like a great collection. I personally love rose and sandalwood smell and tend to have either this or vanilla in my house. Looking forward to trying them out.

Oh I didn’t realise they have rebranded. I haven’t tried their products but the Isle of Arran is one of my favourite places in the world – it’s beautiful! I also love home fragrances so the idea of bringing a little bit of that island into my home sounds perfect.
It seems like a few people didn’t know (myself included). I would love to visit myself one day I have to say.

This is the first time I have heard about the brand. The one “After the Rain” sounds really interesting. I will check this out soon as we are able to go to the mall. A new bottle of perfume will definitely zap me out of this pandemic anxiety.

My last boss would travel often and Scotland was one of his favorite places. So, I traveled trough his pictures and stories. If your fragrance is anything like he described, it must be lovely.
