All About Peter Bowen Art
I love discovering small brands which have been set up by talented people from across the UK.
Recently I came across Peter Bowen Art and I am really excited to be able to share this brand with you today.
Peter Bowen Art.

For as long as he can remember Peter Bowen has enjoyed drawing and painting. A talent which was encouraged by his father, who also had a talent for art and suggested he learnt to draw and paint with watercolours. As such it is little surprise that he went on to study graphic design at the former West of England College of Art.
In the years that followed Peter found that within his own artistic development he grew a love for ceramics. From which he began to experiment with different surface glazes to give his own unique touch to different pieces.
When it comes to his ceramic pieces he feels like the art of forming wet clay into a solid art form is like creating magic. Each of his pieces is glazed using his own recipe which is both lead-free and food safe. Amazingly each piece is also both microwave and dishwasher safe as well.
These days Peter works as both a watercolour artist and a ceramics designer. He often takes inspiration from distinctive buildings and their surroundings. What’s more, his work has even been displayed across the UK and North America.
Useable Art.

Many of the ceramics with Peter Bowen’s art collection has been designed to be useful. For instance, he offers a large range of kitchen items; from butter dishes to cream jugs and sugar bowls.
Personally, I absolutely love his range of clocks. All of which offer a unique shape and eye-catching colourway.
This one, in particular (seen in the image above), comes in at 23cm high, 14cm wide, 7cm (3 inches) front to back and is powered by a AA battery. Colourwise it offers a beautiful gradient colour design from yellow at the top down to red at the bottom.
If you are wondering about the price this one comes in at £129, which for a handmade piece of art is a bargain.
Competition – Sugar Bowl with Spoon Honey Speckle Glaze.

Peter Bowen kindly offered me one of his stunning Sugar Bowls to giveaway to a lucky reader.
This particular sugar bowl features a honey speckle glaze and comes complete with a spoon. It is completely microwave and dishwasher safe and is perfect for keeping sweeteners, sugar, jam or even honey. This piece has an RRP of £38.
So how can you be in with a chance to win this beautiful sugar bowl?
