Carrie Elspeth
Handmade in Wales, Carrie Elspeth started her business back in 1999. Since then she has won Gift of the Year 2021 and supplies her jewellery to a range of independent shops in the UK and beyond, as well as selling via her website.
Today she operates from a studio warehouse on the outskirts of Cowbridge in Llandow. A host of friendly staff are ready to help you with any queries you may have.
I was kindly sent three pieces from Carrie Elspeth’s beautiful collection to look at.
Rainbow Haematite Hearts Necklace
These plated hematite hearts offer a wonderfully unique and beautiful necklace. Each of the hearts offers a smooth surface which reflects the light and has an interesting colour effect as it glistens.
This particular necklace comes in at 45cm however be aware that this could differ as they are handmade and Carrie Elspeth says to expect their standard length to be between 42cm and 46cm. Each one also has an extender chain of 5cm.
15 hearts adorn the necklace which all have a slightly different colour to them thanks to the plating process they go through.
Each necklace comes in a branded jewellery pouch with a Carrie Elspeth card.

Celtic Triangle Earrings
These beautiful Celtic triangles are made from silver plate and hang on 925 sterling silver earring hooks which have been made in the UK.
The Celtic triangles come in at approximately 1.5cm in size and look so pretty. I have always liked this symbol so it was nice to find a pair of earrings with it on which are both well-made and affordable.
Coming with a branded organza bag and gift card as standard they are perfect for gifting to yourself or another.

Spectrum Tablet Bracelet
I am a fan of these haematite pieces which have been plated with this beautiful colour-changing look. They are just so different and thanks to all the colours included can be worn with so many different outfits.
Coming in at around 18cm in length and each bead being around 7mm in size this is a really pretty bracelet which is both perfect for wearing alone or as part of a stack.
Once again it comes in a jewellery pouch and with a gift card.

Overall Thoughts on Carrie Elspeth
Personally, I like these offerings from Carrie Elspeth, I think they have been well made and well thought out, while still keeping value in mind.
I love that they are handmade, something which always adds a little extra to a product.
You might have noticed in the post I mentioned the products come with a jewellery bag, but I showed boxes in the post. You can buy the boxes for each piece of jewellery separately. With prices between £2.50 and £3.99 depending on the size needed. I like this option as it helps keep the cost of the jewellery down yet still allows you to have a box if you require it.
For me Carrie Elspeth is a brand I will be revisiting for myself and as gift ideas.

I like the spring millefiori bracelet best. It reminds me of my childhood in Italy and watching Venetian glass blowers make their beautiful beads and tiny glass animals. I was in love with millefiori glass immediately!

OMG!!! I love all her stuff – me thinks am going to end up spending a small fortune, funny enough my first choice would be the Rainbow Haematite Hearts Necklace, and matching earrings and bracelet of course, goes without saying but also love the crackle purple hearts set, and the shell hearts set that looks like pearls. I liked the Filaments Spaced Necklace in the blue/pink colour. I think because there are gaps between the beads it seems to make the colours stand out well, nice and vibrant without being overpowering.
