Kit Heath Mayflower Heart Necklace: Review
It’s been a while since I featured the fantastic Kit Heath on my blog and I have to say I think right now is the perfect time, as not only have they just realised the beautiful Embrace Story collection as part of their Spring / Summer 2014 range, but this beautiful heart shaped necklace is just perfect for Valentines.
The Embrace collection is designed to offer contemporary and curvaceous pieces which are all made of Stirling silver; it has been developed as a range that can be reached for every day, with pieces from the collection starting at £25.
Mayflower Heart Necklace
This beautiful necklace features a 1.5cm by 1cm Stirling silver curved heart on a 45.7cm chain featuring a lobster clasp.
I’ve long worn items from Kit Heath as I find them to offer great quality, affordable items which last for years (I think I was mid-teens when I got my first pieces and they are still going strong today) plus it’s a British brand founded in Devon and it’s always nice to support UK businesses.
Those past dealings with the company have meant I have been left with high expectations when it comes to any new piece I might get, the clasp has to be smooth (I hate it when they are too stiff or get stuck), no odd scratches or tarnished parts (unless it has been made to look that way on purpose) and well you get the picture. This necklace passed all those tests.
The Mayflower Heart offers a curved heart with a third curve running through the middle separating the polished silver from the darkened patina of the other side, which gives a unique textured look to the heart. It hangs on a delicate chain that on me rests around the top of my breastbone.
I have been using the Mayflower Heart Necklace since its arrival and have received many compliments on it.

This necklace is so pretty. I have a thing for jewelry with hearts on it. They just always seem to catch my eye. I liked that is sterling silver as well.
