  1. really trying to use less plastic, reduce our waste and recycle more. We use our local freecycle group on facebook it’s amazing

    1. Freecycle can be such an amazing place to find things can’t it? We’ve managed to give away a few bits as well and it’s nice to know they will go to a new home.

  2. I continue to make better eco consumer choices and country/company ethics are also important to me. It’s often difficult but I like to think that we’re all moving in the right direction..

    1. Definitely, there is so much to think about at times and it can feel difficult to get yourself in the right place and headspace.

  3. These are some great tips!!! We have been going greener slowly over the years and it’s so much easier to do so in small steps

    1. Definitely, I think the best way to do is step by step and try and do it slowly. Easier to keep to changes that way.

  4. I love my local market, I have actually been there today and came back with a lovely rosemary and sea salt sourdough and a bag of organic apples grown nearby. At home I do try to recycle as much as I can, and I’m planning on having a compost bin for my garden grass from next summer.

    1. Ohh that sourdough sounds delicious! There is something lovely about visiting a local market isn’t there?

    1. I do hope it helps some people out – it can seem very overwhelming but there are smaller changes you can make.

  5. This is such a great reminder to us to choose simple green products, and use products that don’t hurt the environment much

    1. Definitely, I don’t think we often think about it – or at least I know I don’t think about it enough at times.

  6. I am trying to live a better green lifestyle at home, I recently found some great cleaning products where you get a tablet and dilute in water to save buying new products and recycling empty bottles each time

    1. I’ve seen products like that, do they work well? I’ve always been a bit worried I have to admit about how well they would work.

  7. We do try to recycle as much as possible but I would love to shop more locally for our food so that’s a good goal for 2022.

  8. Some great tips, we are recycling even more which is good. And I do want to start growing some of my own things, even if I just start with herbs x

  9. This is so great. I’m seeing so many other places transitioning into eco-friendly. My daughter’s high school just started composting bins in the cafeteria, and I hear that people actually correctly compost. Thanks for sharing!

  10. We’ve been recycling loads. In fact when I shop I do look out for products in recyclable packaging now as a rule.

    1. That’s good – it definitely helps to pick things in packages you can recycle as long as you know your local councils rules.

  11. This is an interesting blog. I am pretty good at recycling, as you say every Council is different. I try to buy locally sourced products but in our area we only have one local greengrocer but I use his shop as much as possible
