Spice Girls, Walkers, The 90s and Now
Do you ever get nostalgic for the 90s?
I have to admit I have good and bad memories from this time, especially if you are talking around the mid to end of the 90s.
You may remember the time, the Spice Girls were HUGE.
All my friends loved them, I’ll hands up admit while I could sing every song and be often caught on the stairs with a friend signing, I was nowhere near the fan, others I knew were.
The Spice Girls oddly when compared to bands I did like more bring up more emotion for me.
Like I said there are those memories of standing on the stairs with a friend singing when she was due to go home. A memory which makes me smile.
I think there might be videos of me and friends signing pretending to be them, though I could always hope they have been destroyed.
Then there is the one that even now can reduce me to tears. Sitting in another friends house as my childhood home was packed up and shipped out on the day I moved from the Oxford area to the Midlands.

Of course, here we are 20 plus years later and the Spice Girls and hitting the stage again.
It has also been 22 years since they were originally partners with Walkers and now here we are with them partnered again.
Just this weekend we so the release of their advert with Walkers for the first time, with their top fan unable to give up a bite of their favourite crips the hunt for the real biggest Spice Girls fan began again.

I loved growing up in the 90’s, I remember dancing around and singing the spice girl lyrics as a kid with my sister’s 😂
i grew up in the 1990s and im always being nostalgic, the music was better and life seemed simpler
I think music can bring back more memories if you haven’t listened to it as much since; I’ve never listened to The Spice Girls much, but because they were everywhere back then, their sound is so nostalgic for me now!
The same, I was never a huge fan – friends where, but I perhaps didn’t get into music so much until I found rock later on 😉
Sorry to be a party pooper, but I was never a fan of the Spice Girls music. I’m a Take That fan and missed out on their concert this year. Mind you at £155 a ticket, it was very expensive.

I heard for Spice girls but as I’m from ‘90 generation, I wasn’t be able to enjoy in their hits! But I asked my older sister and she explained to me that they are legends and she was happy when she read your post.
They definitely left their mark on a lot of people!

I think we all have a special place in our hearts for the time we grew up in.
I was a teenager in the 90’s but I went down the Avril Lavigne route rather than Spice Girls, haha!

I was never a big fan of Spice Girls (I guess I was too young to be) but I am not that excited about the reunion frankly. I think some legends are better stay as they are

I remember Spice Girls so well. Me and my friends loved their songs and we love singing those songs too even though we don’t sing those songs as good as them. LOL.

Ah I LOVE them! I have a couple of favourite memories about the Spice Girls! One is when I was 10 or so, I got a Spice Girls Filofax and I absolutely loved it. It was like, the best present ever!! Haha.
Another more recent, during my wedding reception, 3 years ago all my close cousins and I sang ‘Say You’ll Be There’ on karaoke and it was the best thing ever!
I still listen to them now, it makes me happy!
It is amazing the things we loved when were kids isn’t it – sometimes there’s nothing better than a fliofax!
The Spice girls are a big part of my childhood. I was in a,band at youth club and was ginger spice, me and my friends lived in those roles!! Xx
Spice Girl one of the best girl group in the late ’90s. Their songs are really on the hit charts.

I get so emotional when I think of the Spice Girls too! I never got to go to their concert when I was a little girl and it’s something I definitely want to do if ever they go on tour again.

I loved the spice girls! I saw them when I was 16 in concert but it’s all a little blurry thanks to 2 litres of white lightening with my friend. I regret that now!

I knew some Spice Girls songs, but I didn’t really know much about the band. I got to know them more when Mel hit the reality show scene. (What was she on? Was it Dancing with the Stars?)

I love the 90s! I miss the days when there was no social media but just tv. I actually wrote an article called “Defining the 90s” and, yes, I argued that it was the Spice Girls that ruled the latter half of the decade.
I absolutely love the Spice Girls and was so gutted when I missed their concert last week because our whole house got struck down with the Norovirus. It was devastated

It is amazing how happy them coming back together has made some people I love seeing the joy from fans.
I loved the Spice Girls when I was a kid. Somewhere out there is a very embarrassing video of me singing and dancing to 2 become 1 when I was about 7/8!

Oh my gosh my teenage years were in the 90s and I totally miss them! Something like this would totally bring back all those awesome memories. I cannot believe the Spice Girls are doing this.
