  1. My husband uses Epaderm cream prescribed for his eczema, and I use whatever unscented cream or lotion suitable for dry skin that I can find which is reasonably priced

  2. Use oiletum in the bath. Moisturise well and if skin is really itchy use drapierend with really soothes it although it is hard to come by now.

  3. I have found showering makes my skin worse, so instead have a short bath, pat down my skin instead of rubbing with a towel, use a rich emollient cream and I also take anti-histamine to help with the severity of the itch on occasion.

  4. I make sure I pat my skin dry and moisturise straight after. I’ve had to keep trying different products to find one which helps and doesn’t make my skin over oily.

  5. I use products aimed at babies when my skin is itchy as they are gentle. Oatmeal baths can be very soothing and cost effective.

  6. Usually when I have itchy skin it’s because of an allergic reaction so I use products which are as natural as possible

  7. I currently use Cetraben, but am finding as the weather changes that it’s not enough and I’m having to apply every couple of hours which isn’t practical. For flare-ups, I’m using a steroid cream which I hate as it burns so I’m keen to find a natural alternative.

  8. I use Sudocrem when my skin flares up as it dries my skin out but reading through all the comments – I’ve realised I could try a few other things to prevent itchy skin such as non perfumed soap etc! x

  9. Usually i tend to use a strong moisturiser like Eucerin, but i’d love to give this more natural approach a go!

  10. I suffer from mild psoriasis and dry itchy skin. The doctor gave me some steroid cream, Daktacort and some Cetraben.

  11. Oatmeal baths – a little linen drawstring bag filled with porridge oats tied over the bath tap so the water runs through it as you pour the water. Really soothing.

  12. i get creams from my doctors but swear haign canomilel baths helps massivly, my mum did it when i had chicken pox and found it helps my dry skin too!

  13. I gey dry skin and eczema all the time! it is so annoying! what i find really helps is a dead sea salt bath soak. really soothes and softens. also a good skin oil is great like ESPAs

  14. Take an oatmeal bath. Moisturise your skin. Always choose a moisturiser free of additives, fragrances and perfumes. You could also place your moisturiser in the refrigerator to help achieve this cooling effect. Apply cooling agents, such as menthol or calamine.

  15. I use a non-soap soap bar these days which has helped a great deal, also a non perfumed moisuriser after every shower – Doublebase

  16. a cold flannel and then deprobase. Try and put it under clothing if possible over night, ie gloves, socks, etc

  17. I am very careful with creams we use,laundry products and cleaning products we use and I try not to keep the house too warm

  18. Being careful with the skincare products I choose, and washing the bed sheets regularly – they’re what seem to make me itch the most!

  19. I get itchy skin after a shower but not a bath which is strange, the only thing that works for me is the Eurax creams and lotions

  20. Don’t use anything scented. Apply all sorts of creams but to no avail, I could really do with something that actually works!

  21. My daughter has bad eczema and we have tried many things. Which sometimes give temporary relief but no long term solution sadly. I try keeping her moisturised and hydrated.

  22. For the ezcema on my hands I usually find I have to use diprobase ointment to get rid of the dryness and only steroid cream stops the itching. For insect bites, the only thing I’ve found that stops itching is tiger balm ?

  23. I have Psoriasis. I use QV Intensive Ointment on my skin and Hope’s Relief shampoo on my hair but still I itch sometimes.

  24. We have just bought some more of this! Its the only thing that I find helps Lily’s Eczema! We also use a bath wash! Its so good thought wish it didn’t cost as much as it does.

  26. I have eczema and use emulsifying ointment and oilatum junior wash in the bath. I use E45 cream to moisturise and if really bad have to use a tiny bit of ointment
