New Home Additions You May Love
The colder weather seems to have well and truly arrived. I’m sat, writing this, tucked under a wonderful wool blanket, with the heating on and a cup of tea by my side, while I think of ideas to help make this place feel a little bit cosier.
Now I totally admit if I had my way I would probably end up popping something in such as these folding doors, as I think they would really open up some of the space we have and most likely be warmed than the old doors and windows we have at the moment. However now probably isn’t the time, at least for us, so for me I’m sticking to the small things, I can change around the place and here are a few things I have come across.
Rechargeable Bottle Light – £8.95
Making a cosy corner can start with good lighting and personally I’m not a fan of the harsh lighting that comes from ceiling lights, so I like making the most of other items around the room to help create a softer glow. On the market these days are a lot of fancy lamps, many of which use bottles and cost a fortune. However, with this clever little rechargeable bottle light, you just need to pop it into the top of the bottle and bingo, you’ve created you own.
Dartmoor Grey Faux Fur Throw – £112.00
A good throw can make a huge difference to how warm you are feeling when you are snuggled under it and this beautiful Dartmoor Grey one, looks absolutely perfect for the winter and the need to feel warm and cosy once you are at home.
Cosmopolitan Cocktail Candle – £13.99
Along with good lighting, candles can help create a warm glow in a room and this Cosmopolitan Cocktail one, sounds like not only would it add a nice warming glow, but it would also let off the most fun fragrance I have perhaps seen of late.
Percher Pet Bed – £34.95
As well as making sure Ash and I are of course warm and cosy over the winter, I like to make sure my pets are as well and how cosy does this gorgeous Percher Pet Bed look. I think Sally would be all set for winter if she had one of these beauties to curl up in.

With it getting colder, a nice throw blanket is always welcome! And candles are one of my favorite things.
I like that bottle light. I am all about relaxing lights as well especially when it comes to my bedroom. I think it’s a nice item to have at home.
The cocktail candle sounds great I’ve been meaning to try one for a while.
We are on a huge economy drive which doesn’t work well as I’ve just decided to massively change the decor in our house. I’m a fan of folding doors too but my budget is definitely more suited to that gorgeous soft-looking throw!

Oooo I just recently bought a faux fur throw its a brown colour and its so soft and lush, adds a really homely feel to the house and its so warm and cosy, I only got it from sainsbury’s for £30!
Those are really nice items. I really love candles so I would love to add that to my home.

Oh I love the idea of bottle lights! I also like to put tea lights in mason jars, I just think they add a nice touch to any space! I love to make home as cozy as possible.
I would love to have any or all of these. The candle sound really nice, and i know our basset hound could use a new bed.
That blanket looks like it’s so cozy and warm. I would get that in a heartbeat. I also want to have the soap as well.

The rechargeable bottle light is a really creative and useful idea. It would give you just the right amount of illumination for the room.
It is so unique isn’t it – I could definitely see me getting a few for around the place.
The bottle light is such a cute idea – I love bottles with candles in but knowing me I’d end up causing a fire, so this is definitely the safer option!

I’ve been looking for a faux fur throw forever! I always test the ones I’ve seen by giving it a little tug. If the fur comes out, I pass. The one you mentioned looks amazing and I love the color.
I’m not a lover of a ceiling light I prefer candles and lamps. I love the bottle light I swear every blog I read at the moment adds another item on my Christmas list.
I find them so harsh personally, love a good lamp and candles though.
