Yankee Candle – Café Culture
I love trying new candles and while I have my favourite scents Lemon Lavender, Baby Power and Fresh Linen being three from Yankee in particular I always love finding out about the new scents they have on offer. Last month saw the release of the Café Culture range; a range dedicated to those delicious scents you find at your favourite local coffee house.
Cappuccino Truffle
I’m starting with this candle as it isn’t for me, I knew from the offset it wouldn’t be, as I actually cannot stand the smell of coffee at all (nothing personal candle, it isn’t you it’s me). So I called my Mum in for this one and while she couldn’t imagine lighting an all coffee candle she did say, that this one, while still offering quite a rich coffee fragrance, is calmed by the smooth fragrance of chocolate.
Side note: If you are ever out candle shopping and find your nose confused by all the different scents, sniff some coffee beans (you can sometimes find little dishes of them in candle stores) and it will help cleanse the nasal passage.
Tarte Tatin
Think apple, caramel, spices and vanilla all packed into this little slice of heaven, I mean candle. I found this wonderful smelling candle released it scent all around the room and was one of those fragrances that even when you got used to it, you would still get the odd waft as the air moved around you, most definitely a must try for anyone who likes apple pie fragrances.
Pain au Raisin
Like food, I have left my favourite till last, while this might for some be a too sweet a scent for some, for me it just perfect – think walking into a bakery when the pastries are fresh out of the oven and the smell just makes your mouth water with longing, to pop that pastry in your mouth! That’s what this candle is like for me.
As with most Yankee Candle fragrances, these are available in all sizes from tart to large jar and can be bought from all good Yankee Candle retailers.
Do any of these fragrances sound like something you would like to burn in your home?

I love Yankee Candles – they really are one of the best brands. These look lovely – I haven’t seen them yet. Kaz x
aww they look awesome best they smell lovely. love yankee candles
Love yankee candles and will be looking out for the coffee one – one of my favourite smells!
Oh my gosh, I am a huge Yankee candle fan! Christmas Memories is my favourite and I bought it in the biggest size they had at the beginning of December – it didn’t even last until Christmas. My bad…!! I’m a big Fresh Linen fan too, can’t beat the smell of ‘clean’! I think these sound great, but as I’m currently on a diet, candles that smell like amazing, tasty food probably won’t help my hunger siutation! Ray xx
