See in the New Year with Eclectic Eccentricity Jewellery
Each piece is handmade right here in the UK, in Norwich, where it is run from a small studio headed by Lucy the original creator of Eclectic Eccentricity and a small group of creative crafters.
I was kindly sent the beautiful Echo necklace from the Eclectic Eccentricity range – inspired by Echo, an Oread (or Mountain Nymph) of Greek mythology – who could only ever repeat the words of others – it sees a brass triangle pendent, suspended from a brass chain, beautifully accented by 3 deep purple Amethyst stones.
Amethyst is a gemstone that is said to bring calmness, inner peace and intuition to those who wear it, or hold it near and I have to admit just happens to be one of my favourites (I actually carry a few around in my handbag depending on what they are said to do and the boosts I feel I am in need of).
The necklace comes on a 46cm chain which for the design I have to say is just perfect – hanging just right to really show it off. Sadly the Echo necklace is no longer available to buy but they have plenty of other gorgeous pieces if you’re an animal lover I can only suggest checking out the All Creatures Great and Small range (I personally love the Dachshund), for those who love the night sky how about a pair of Star Gazer earrings in fact I could sit and name them all so how about just popping over and checking out Eclectic Eccentricity for yourself you might just be surprised by the prices as well – the Echo necklace cost just £18!

I quite like the necklace you’ve shown. I’ll have to take a look at the site as my wife doesn’t appreciate ‘normal’ necklaces, she prefers the wilder things or oddities so there may be something perfect for her there 🙂

I am a fan of Amethyst, it is very pretty and comes in so many shades. I love the angles on this piece and the difference of design compared to mainstream jewellery!

While I don’t wear jewelry myself, I do think the necklace is very pretty. I think it’s definitely something one of my daughters would love to add to their collection!
