7 Easy Ways to Earn Additional Income

If you’re short on cash, you may want to resort to long-term resolutions for your financial dilemma such as asking for a raise, going back to school or finding better-paying employment opportunities. But if you need some cash fast to pay your credit card bills or for a vacation getaway, the following are 7 easy ways to earn additional income.

Find a New Bank

If you have a debt to pay off, you’re not alone. But if you don’t get in control of your finances, you could be at risk for mental and physical complications caused by your monetary stress. If you want to make quick cash without working endless hours at a second job, activities such as switching over to a new bank may garner you some additional savings. Before you take your money out of your current bank, search to see which financial institution offers the highest interest rates. You may also be able to take advantage of additional bonuses of between $200 and $300 for opening a new bank account.

Sell Your Automobile Parts

Your vehicle is an instrumental mode of transportation that can get you to and from work and other important places. But what do you do when your car is no longer usable because of age or damage? While some people opt to junk the entire monstrosity or donate it and take the tax donation, you can sell car for parts and gain a tidy profit. The money made from this hassle-free transaction can be put toward a down payment on another car. While you may feel like taking your old car apart on your own, unless you have a huge garage to do this task and the tools to go with the project, it’s best to leave it in the hands of the professionals.

Scale Down Your Home Library

If you’re an avid reader, you probably have a host of books collecting dust in your den, attic or basement. But unless you’re holding a first edition of Pride and Prejudice or some other great novel, your books are only collecting dust. You can score additional cash by selling your unwanted reading material. The Internet has a variety of sites where you can sell books and college texts either directly or through buyback programs.

Clear Out Your Clothes Closet

Whether it’s seasonal or a yearly task, clearing out your closet is great for getting rid of clutter. But if you’re looking to earn extra dough, you can take your gently used sweaters, shirts, pants, blouses and more and place them up for sale. Apps such as Tradesy, eBay, Poshmark and Thredup are excellent options for selling your wares. You can also take your unwanted clothes to a consignment shop or thrift store.

Get Into the Flipping Trade

The term “flipping” is familiar to those looking to purchase a home, fix it up and turn it into a profit. Flipping is also an excellent source that involves garage sales, discount racks, estate sales and thrift shops. But this side income requires a great deal of patience and a keen eye. If you can tell the real deals from the inexpensive knockoffs, this could become a prosperous hobby.

Recycle

Recycling cans, bottles, paper and other goods are all great for protecting the environment. But if you do it often enough, you can also earn cash on the items that you save. You can also turn empty printing ink cartridges, scrap metal, batteries and T.V. parts into various retailers for cash. Before you begin to store your goods, find out which items are worth the most.

Cash for Dieting and Exercise

You may find it challenging to work out on a daily basis. But keeping fit has numerous health benefits to both your mind and body. Now eating right, weighing yourself and time spent exercising can also reward you in the way of cash. Certain apps such as DietBet and Achievemint allow you to score points. When you’ve reached the specific goal set for the company, you can trade the points earned in for cash.

Resolving to eliminate your debt is a great resolution to strive for. But turning your wish into a reality is another entirely different story. Using the above tips, you can earn additional income without having to secure a second or third job.

I am always looking for ways to make some extra cash. I have an older car we do not use anymore. I will have to look at selling it for parts instead of sending it to the junk yard.

Some interesting ideas here. I never thought of doing things like selling car parts – we always think it’s easy to sell it as a whole. Selling clothes is another interesting idea too – we like to keep our stuff even when we don’t use/wear them so great idea…. I enjoyed reading this post.

    1. Some insurance agencies offer investment plans. They offer better interest than banks.
    2. Selling unused items is good.
    3. It’s actually better to read books, magazines, comics on their original form rather than reading them on your mobile, tablet, or pc/laptop. I find it less of an eye strain.
    4. We donate our old clothes. So no income from here.
    5. Trading is good. But be very careful not to get ripped off.
    6. Recycling is good. Not much income, but still better than no income at all.
    7. Salad costs more than burgers.

    Cheers!

This is the first time I’ve heard of dieting apps! Will try to download it later. I personally earn by using my credit card – HELLO POINTS! We were able to buy airline tickets with my credit card points!

Having a garage sale works for me. For those things I am no longer use and clothes that were no longer wearing and some outgrown clothes. Indeed a nice way to earn some bucks instead of having those items put to storage or trash
