  2. This is giving me good ideas. I’ve been decluttering, but I’m now down to needing to do more, but don’t want to get rid of most of what I still need to do something with. Glad I found this before letting go of what I have left that I didn’t want to let go of!

  3. I am always in need of extra storage room. We recently bought a new bed with drawers underneath which has definitely made a difference.

  5. I agree with this – the bungalow has nothing but a larder and what would have once been the hot water tank cupboard, but with an upgraded boiler has some space in it and that’s it.

  10. Great tips, we added coloured crates to our garage this year so we can see at a glance what they hold. Orange for Halloween, Red for Christmas etc.

  11. We live in such a small house, that storage is such a struggle. I use all hiding places that I can, like under beds and behind doors.

  12. I always think having a good clear out is a great starting point and then to work from there. Under bed storage is an ace idea xx

  13. I am lucky to have a storage unit for my flat so I keep in there all the things that I am not using that often. The shelves are so useful and they make organising the space so much easier.

  14. I could really do with a garage or a storage unit. I do keep clearing out stuff but it always seems to build up again

  15. It’s so important to get your storage solutions right. It can cost a bit but it’s worth it. We don’t have a loft and have to be very creative. Mich X

    1. We have a loft but there’s no boards down or anything I really need to think about doing that to give us some more room.

  16. Good Tips I like the wicker baskets for storing stuff they look nice. I have under bed storage those vacuum seal bags are pretty good for big bulky bedding

  17. Our under-bed storage has helped loads with putting bulky things in like bedding (& hiding Xmas presents as the kids don’t know the bed has drawers lol). I’m thinking of buying an Ottoman for even more room!

    1. It is amazing how you can use things like ottomans for storage and they can be dual purpose – always useful.

  18. I agree we never have enough storage, although underbed storage has helped and my husband built wall to ceiling shelving along one of our walls and that has made a huge difference

  19. We really need to work out the storage in our new house, I feel like we just don’t have enough space for everything. I really feel like we need to have a massive declutter

    1. I always feel the same, it doesn’t help that at the moment, we’ve had to empty out the wardrobe everywhere lol.

  20. These are all great tips. I do love under bed storage. It’ a great way to keep items hidden away to avoid making rooms look cluttered.

  21. I really love the wicker basket idea. I think what makes our house look messy is the clutter. Wicker baskets eliminate the cluttered look and is pleasing to the eye.

    1. It’s the same here, we just seem to accumulate things, at least with the baskets there’s somewhere to put things.

  22. I’ve never thought about a storage unit before but I would forget what was in there & probably go & buy an item I already have in storage!

    1. I can definitely see that being an issue for people who get one, you would have to have an inventory or something I guess.

  23. Yes, starting by having a good clear out is both therapeutic and wise. I select a charity shop that helps a cause close to my heart so it makes it easier to part with items to donate that are suitable for resale.

  24. We are really trying to cut down on the clutter and find storage solutions! Under bed storage is always really useful
